I got one a couple of weeks ago for over staying by 6 mins. After feeling sick at the cost (£120) i did a bit of research and found out people advise to ignore it but it was eating away at me. I found out that all i needed to do was prove i made a purchase at the shops for the car park, (parking eyes dont tell you this) I sent a copy of the receipt and they have cancelled the ticket. Hope this helps.

Sorry, but it doesn't help in the least; in fact it's annoying that you go against the advice of hundreds of posts on here and then tell others that 'appealing works'...when it patently doesn't work for 99% of victims.

If people are stupid enough to follow your ill-advised example they will be confirming themselves as the driver to the ppc scum and make it that much harder to get rid of the bothersome scum.

Please, no-one should appeal or contact the ppc in any way whatsoever.

  • Received first 'parking charge notice' from Parking Eye on 14/04/11, says date of contravention 06/04/11 and date issued 12/04/11 - took a whole 6 days. Want £90.00 + £30.00 admin or £60.00 if paid within 13 days. I had parked longer than 3 hours at a retail outlet when I was a legitimate customer spending my hard earned money there! Hubby wants me to pay it but I am going to ignore the letters.

I received a Parking Eye notice as I parked in Manchester, Bloom St Car park. £120, or £60 if I pay early. I was fuming, and this morning I paid...
Then in a move to further enrage me, I decided to google parking eye, a couple of clicks later I'm on this forum. Now I feel sick to my stomach that I paid these !!!!*uckers. I'm £62.50 lighter and as a final year student this will have a considerable impact. I rang the bank as the payment was only pending in an attempt to cancel my card but this will not prevent the payment from coming out.

    I've learned an expensive lesson.

    Such is life.

Make sure you tell everyone you know and at least some benefit will come of it.

    agreed.

every cloud...silver lining...won't get caught like this again...gonna tell my family/mates/dog....how dare they, etc.

£62.50 of most people's money is a big chunk, but - ce la vie - it won't be happening again to this guy.

Got my final notice today, much quicker than I expected. They are threatening me with a debt collection agency, court proceedings a CCJ and Bailiffs, have they forgotten anything?:rotfl:

Edit to say that having checked the example letters on this forum they've skipped letter 3 and gone straight to final notice!
