Parking Eye - Nasty tricks

In short no ! For further advice post a new thread below instead of this outdated thread
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Is there no mechanism for the mods to close finished threads?
Come on guys, do a bit of thread management and close off old threads - a new one that refers to a closed one can always kick the topic back into life.
Or, MSE, give Coupon-mad some mod powers.
Would a couple of regulars "report" this post to bring it to the mods' attention?
Cheers0 -
I've tried to get them to agree to have Coupon as a forum guide but nothing has happened, so we've got to put up with threads being bumped from users. If for example a thread was closed with the following or something similar as the last post.
We are happy that you have found this thread in your search for advice. It's now closed but you can still get advice on your situation on the link below, and the upto date information on your parking situation. Please post a new thread below.

Regrettably, it doesn't seem to work, judging by poor old c-m's increasing despairing posts!
Newbies just don't seem to read the preceding posts, no matter how politely you ask.
No, the problem seems to lie with the forum mods here. Other forum mods seem to close off old threads sensibly - at least on the ones I read, so that's why I suggested reporting my post above as it will bring the problem to their attention.
I have to say that you, c-m and a couple of others do a good job in asking for new threads to be started.0 -

I recieved a letter yesterday from parkingeye saying i needed to pay this notice of 60 quid so like a complete div I just paid it. I used my credit card thinking if it was a con I could get the money back or stop the payment. Well I couldn't stop the payment but need to call when funds have cleared then I can try and recover the money. Has anyone done this with success? I feel like such an idiot!:eek:0

No you haven't , parking eye can't fine you at all, but please post in a new thread below as bumping this ancient one with out of date information is a pain.
