    Hi Enabler

I hope things are going ok?

I think Euronorris's idea is a good one. There is a myriad of good advice within this thread, but it's mixed in with some pretty harsh comments.

I know I often go back to my SOA to see what I've done and if there are any comments that make more sense to me now I'm more confident in this whole debt-busting thing. I imagine that will be difficult for you to do as you begin to settle into tackling your debts. Not only because of the practicalities of finding a specific post for the advice, but because you do not need, or deserve, to be reminded of some of the judgements some people have jumped to.

Good luck in tackling everything - remeber, we are here for you whenever you feel you need us.

    Take care :)

    I know.............

she spends most days shopping, at the gym or taking our daughter to one of her classes -not sure what she will do with her time if this is entirely cut.

    A job?

Sorry to jump in without reading the whole thread but just a cursory glance at your SOA...per anum

    £600 on beauty treatments.
    £1800 on holidays
    £1020 on mobile phone
    another £1020 on satellite/cable TV

None of these are necessary and could be cut drastically.

What was the outcome of lunch last Sunday with your in-laws?

How is the budgeting coming along?

So you could rent out a couple of en suite rooms then? Do think about it, its not great, I wouldnt want to share my house, but its a nice easy one, and if they have their own bathroom thats one less thing to worry about :)

Do talk her out of the shopping, she wont thank you if she finds out about the problems by being declined at every till.

Personnaly I would allow her to go shopping knowing the cards would be declined. Might actually do more good
Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p

oh I totally agree - if I could sell this house I would. I'm sure we have 30K neg equity though so not sure whta to do about that tbh. Yes it is embarrassment and pride that makes me squirm at the thought of the inlaws knowing what a !!!! up I've made.

Becareful, If your in laws pay off your debts then unless you make drastic changes you will be back in this same position in another few months.
