Pooh - sorry I should have explained better - it is a sunken dry stone wall circle garden that DH made when we first moved in - 4m by 4m space with a 3m diameter sunken bed that will be a dug down again pond once the boys are big enough. Full of house leeks. Have you got a real one? That would be just amazing.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0

Mumof2 I doubt she'll be over, or apologize, she doesn't sound the type. People never cease to amaze me with their cheeck, selfishness and disregard for others.
Sexy - I'm so glad the end is insight and hope you go forward to years of happy teaching.
Just digesting and then I've a massive pile of ironing to start. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
poohbear & boddy thank you for my hugs. Poohbear I hope you feel better soon, I waved as we went past the many signs for Alston on Monday on our way to Scotland, I know you aren't far from there. You will have to stop by some time.
Maybe when the snow has gone if you have the caravan in tow!
I think I'm getting to Saturday, the end of my studying week each week and realising how far behind I am with study, home etc and wondering where the time has gone. I really need to get my planning better but things keep getting in the way. Tonight once the boys are in bed I am just doing study time, trying to get some catch up done. Not going to dot about trying to catch up on other stuff.
Be careful not to overdo things. My family were all at secondary school when I did my OU course and I remember how hard it was to juggle everything. Look after yourself and don't forget you need some 'me' time too.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Mine is a real one:o
It isn't huge but I planted snowdrops around and between the stones a couple of years ago. They are not through yet and the snow is about 6 inches deep ATM.
You have reminded me though to:
Clean out hens tomorrow (delegate)
Take photograhs of cottage building progress for DB2

Valli, yes it didn't even occur to me that no-one was at home. I won't be caught by that one again I can tell you.
I do send her home a lot more at meal times but sometimes she comes over, looks at me and says I haven't had my lunch yet and it's like 2.30! She's a sweet little girl but her family just don't seem to bother about her to me. Or maybe we spoil our children, I don't know. She has no table manners - eats like a pig, mouth open, chomping away (makes me feel sick), she can't help that I know bless her, but I think it's not our job to correct her - surely her parents care?
Oh well, I think DH can sort this one out. I get too emotional and at the moment I'm likely to explode .
Lots of sensible advice - from my point of view I'd say to her mother that she can't come over any more unless it's prearranged and with a definite time to go home, that you know where the parents are, and have an emergency contact number.
Also - if she's in your house, she abides by your rules, so for the sake of your own children, correct her table manners. If she or her parents don't like it, they know what they can do!gratefulforhelp wrote: »s'true!! Best job in the world, jenny go for it. My year 11s told me I was sooo gay on Friday. I said yeah I know, years of practise. They said, no, seriously, how do you get that gay? I said...gay college!
(this isn't homophobic, gay has ceased to mean homosexual to teenagers.)
Back from my week of cake decorating and day of catching up with a friend. Heating is currently working with everything on full, so once the house has defrosted I will try to get the system rebalanced. Oddly, upstairs appeared to heat up first and the downstairs ones got hot top first, then bottom (so I think I might have sludge, but that it might be moving ... that might cause the problem, but I don't want to have to drain and de-sludge it till about May!).
I'm not feeling strong enough to deal with the DW tonight. Off to sort out some food... it'll be nice to eat properly this week, as I seem to have had far, far too much in the way of carbs over the last week - and far too little in the way of veg. I'm beginning to think that there are very few people in the world who actually eat properly!0 -
no insurance means they won't replace. Onto market. Found a battery for a tenner on a stall but wasn't sure if they'd be cheaper on line so I left it. They aren't, I'll have to go back sometime....
Have you checked your buildings and contents insurance? Sometimes they cover mobile phones. Just a thought.0
