ab7167 - I can also reccomend Mae bridal, hannah the owner is amazing. I got my dress from proposals and they are great too.
As for rings, gavin mack who is in banbury is great - we got ours through him and paid less than the same on the high street. His address is: http://www.gavinmackjewelleryltd.co.uk/
Have you looked at the Vine in Black Bourton? Its lovely - not the cheapest from what I remember but great: http://www.vinesblackbourton.co.uk/
How far are you willing to travel from witney?
Photographers - I have a couple of reccomendations who I know cover your area (not sure if your looking for one)

Hmmm the Vines looks good, we actually live in Brize Norton so definitely the right side of Witney for us. Might have to go and have lunch there tomorrow and check it out :-)
Will have to start looking for a dress as well, although I had planned to lose some weight first ... Am only size 14 now, but I wasn't before the kids came along, let's put it that way! Toning more that drastic weight loss, but it needs to happen!
Can you just walk into a dress shop or do you have to make an appointment?

Photos will be done by my cousin, he's a wedding photographer so no problem there, flowers and hair by friends, cake by MIL, just need to sort guest list and venue. And find a dress and a ring. Fortunately OH doesn't want a ring so we only have to get one...

You usually need to make an appointment. At Mae bridal I know its appointment only.
Most will let you come in without an apointment but you might not get to try any on, or get the service you need as they will be occupied with others that did make an appt.
Size 14 is what im aiming for at the mo! The size you are will mean you will be able to try on most dresses so no worry there. I LOVED dress shopping after the inital being scared.
Yeah try the vines its very nice x:heart2: Got Married on 30/4/11 :heart2:

Hi Ladies, this is a massive longshot I know but thought it was worth a try! I went to wedding fairs organised by Guides for Brides at the Abingdon and Sandford Four Pillars. Afterwards I received a bunch of emails, one of them was from a female photographer. She seemed very friendly, and on her "about me" section on her website, she said she had a young child and so was used to early starts and would happily come round to take photos of us getting ready first thing. She also said that sometimes the fun doesn't start til the dancing begins so she would stay for the whole day. She was very competitively priced and I thought I had popped her email in my "Wedding" folder, but have gone to have a look and I think I must have deleted her by mistake
She was definitely local to Oxfordshire. Is there any chance this is ringing bells for any of you that may have received the same email?!
Thanks in advance0 -
Hi Maysie thanks for posting about the supasavaonline link - I'm going to check and see if the beautiful chair cover hire voucher will extend to table linen!0
-
Cheers witney, beautiful creases also in the voucher thingy are opposite them i have seen them on ebay selling old stock of table linen they have a 25% off voucher ...... Might be worth enquiring. To be honest i am not sure that they are not run by the same people anyhow.0
-
O i went into the dry cleaners and asked and from how i described my dress its normally £85 quid so with 20% off thats about £17 off not bad i reckon. I hope they are in the book every month!.0
-
Hmm - any idea if the 25% discount will be in future books - it seems crazy to hire the table linen six months before but then for a 25% discount it might be worth it!0
