I just posted on the other thread, didn't realise this one was running too.

Does anyone know what happens when/if the discount is actually applied next month (as I said on the other thread, not sure why they couldn't do it on this one as per their own offer terms) we will have to order goods again or will they refund it to our card??
  • they screwed up my first £5 order too. It never arrived and when I called (using say no to 0870) they told me the £5 discount would definately be applied to my re-order. Guess what my invoive is charging me- £5.

Will have to ring but advice for anyone doing it just use the landline numbers provided (of which there are many) by Say no to 0870. Dunno if has been mentioned earlier.
Their alternative head office number is 01252 366966.
I'll be dammed If I'm paying 0845 rates (which is not covered by my free landine call deal)!

0845 is 1 pence a minute and 0870 is 10p a minute so an hour call would be 6 pounds

I think BT might have stopped charging for those now on their otherwise free call deal?

Theres also a freepost address listed

Cheapest call charge for 0845, (outside a calling plan), is from BT, their daytime rate is just short of 10p set up charge, then 2p per minute, ALL others charge a lot more, Virgin for instance 10ppm plus a 10p conn charge, call from a payphone and the charge is 20ppm, against calling 01/02/03 of 1ppm and mobiles can cost up to 40ppm

Don't know where you get 10ppm for 0870, BT daily rate is 6ppm.and from others a lot more.

Well that's another customer Milk & More have lost! Having been assured on the phone that my £5 Daily Mail discount would be taken off when the invoice came through, I've just spent the best part of half an hour trying to get through to customer services to ask why that hasn't been done. No apology, just said they'd alter the invoice. They've also charged me for the 'free' cool bag. She said you can only use one offer so I said the milkman can collect the cool-bag next time he's round. Just hope they adjust my invoice before they take my money.
  • Ive had my first invoice now & they took the £5 discount off no problem so i`m happy, I would defintly use this service again as i had no problems with my order all came on the day i requested, The only downside is that it isnt a service i could use too regulary as it is quite expensive.

I received a letter in the post today offering a free coolbag if I spend another £5. Not sure on the quality of the coolbag, and whether it's worth spending another £5 on items that I can get in the supermarket for about half the price to get a cool bag I don't need. I bought a nice cool bag from TJ Hughes last year for only £2.

And as I said in my last post, if you've arranged to pay by Direct Debit and they fail to sort things out in the phone call, or you can't get through, just cancel it and leave them to chase you, and if anyone is thinking of signing up, arrange a direct debit, and NOT a credit card. This worked with me, I used the code, got my £5 off, got my order delivered, no problems. If you arrange a regular credit card payment, credit card companies can't cancel the authority, but a customer can cancel a direct debit with the bank on the day it's supposed to be taken.

I think direct debits are taken first minute of the day, so a cancellation that clears afterwards probably wouldnt help

Having been a little unwell today I was unable to get out to cancel the dd, and right now i've been on hold for 16 minutes :-( I'm so annoyed with it all and wish i'd stayed well away! I think it's become a lost cause, i can see my call just being cut off hold at 6pm when they go home.

eta: after 20 minutes on hold i have been credited £5. This doesn't even cover the full amount of the first non-delivery, but i'd been advised they will ring back tomorrow. I shall update how i get on, hope others are having better luck.
