Does anyone know any agents, fixed or percentage who are willing to expose themselves to the debate. ?0 -

The trouble is that there are a small minority on these forums who have spoilt it for the rest. There have been many agents that have posted over the last few years but they have probably gone because of the nasty comments and childish insults that these people continue to post.
I'm all for debate.........Im not up for vast generalisations and pathetic comments from people who have ulterior motives. My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. With 20 years experience of Sales/Lettings and having bought and sold many of my own properties I've usually got something to sayIgnore......check!0 -

I really don't know whether to be flattered at the attention or indignant at the impatience.0 -

ETA.....sorry just looked at their website to see they are internet only. Their HIPs are expensive!
(referring to LittlePigs) - I get the impression from the website that they're a husband & wife sole (double?) trader operation, and also that they work from home, rather than from an office.
When you don't have business rates, office premises, council charges for trade waste, etc, you can certainly make significant savings. I can see some of the public perceiving them as a bit 'fly by night', though....
I'd love to know how they manage to get paid for anything - no contract ????0 -

Fixed Fee Agents vs Traditional Agents
That rules LittlePigs out of the discussion then, since they charge a fixed fee AND claim to be 'Traditional Agents' on their website...0 -

I don't know whether they are just very trusting or very foolish!
£1000 is still expensive considering they don't have an office. I do think that a physical office gives an agent a degree of credibility.....My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. Mmmm, although I fail to see how they can be a "Traditional Agent" when they don't have an office......My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. How do they expand from home? If they employ an assistant, does the assistant use their home office, or work from another location?
If they hire/contract other agents, and they work from home, what's the business address? A variant on "Your place or mine", make no mistake ...0 -

Field based agents working from their own home? It's something we've toyed with but I still think having an office is a necessity, for most clients. My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks.
