I did already say that on this particular listing, yes.

    Bone idle, probably, dishonest, no.

If I tell my Husband what you've just said about me does that mean I am stealing your words?

    QUOTE]

    Talk about character assassination.
I have never claimed benefits in my life, though even if I had - so what.

If you want to attack me on a pesonal level please note I work for the NHS and my husband is a police officer (who has been laughing his head off at all your comments.) Says you all want to get out more.
Though I told him you probably haven't the time as you are too busy composing your ebay masterpieces.

"I'm a private seller. I only buy the odd thing to resell to top up my JSA".

After all, how much time could they be saving if they're only listing a handful of private items, as opposed to a business-viable amount?

I love how extreme and personal people become on here. People in glass houses and all that. I for one have always worked and have always paid the correct taxes. As for hurting people I am a volunteer for a charity that supports vulnerable people. I would like to think that as a person I am not only honest but also care enough to make time to help others.

As for time saving. When you have a baby, a five year old, a full time job and voluntary work that is before you start on housework etc time is a little precious. Anything that makes life easier is therefore very welcome in my eyes. I would never steal someones complete listing, only portions of text. Much of which the said seller has probably googled and lifted from somewhere else anyway!!!!

I quite agree but when a debate turns into a character assassination of others, then those who are criticised are entitled to defend themselves.

But by stealing MY listing, you are saying YOUR time is more precious than MINE. As for your offspring, I can beat you on that one hands down! :p

It is against Ebay rules. FACT. It is not the crime of the century. FACT. But if you want to 'borrow' listing details verbatim, have the decency to ask. If you are as decent as you say you are, you will ask. FACT. :D

Ah, if only we could. Perhaps if the police gave a toss about eBay fraud, we wouldn't have to work so hard.

Still can't see what the harm is if it a completed listing and you have sold your item. Great if it saves time. We all decide how to best spend our time. Doesn't affect you in any way.

If it such a bad crime (as quite a few on this thread seem to think,) surely as law abiding, pillars of the community it is your duty to report it to the police.
Then watch yourself get laughed out of the police station.

  • I must confess, I have copied and re worded a description of an item if tis the same as what I ma selling. But I have always edited it, never used their identical wording
