I am going to bow out of this thread now.
I have said my piece, it is an opinion backed up by law, but there will always be someone who decides it's easier to pretend that something is fine when it's not. This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.0 -

But likewise you can rob a bank and not get caught. Just cos you do it, doesn't mean you will be caught/dealt with (by whichever appropriate authority deals with it), but this also doesn't mean it is right.
Exactly the point, thank you!
There are ebay rules in place which prohibit this going on but unfortunatley it does. Just like there are laws prohibiting me from robbing a bank, but again unfortunately it happens! If I want to lift an image or some text from another auction because I am lazy, then if ebay want to kick me out then they can. Its my own fault, would I be that bothered when I sell every now and then, not at all. Power Sellers need to stick by the rules because they earn a living out of it.
Ultimately this thread is about the morals of it, NOT the legalities.

I think that demonstrates the power of such a discussion, we've gone from some people believing it is OK to an almost unanimous agreement that it is both dishonest and lazy to do so, which is the original question asked of the thread.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
