Stealing photographs or text on eBay - dishonest or merely lazy?

As a working mum with 3 kids, I don't see the point in re-inventing the wheel. I have better things to do than research my product and devise new text. Though I like to think I could string a sentence together if I really wanted to. Lazy or time economical????

I say it's lazy. Although a business seller, I too have a home life and family. Needless to say, I start my listings from scratch, include measurements and weights as this is what my customers ask for. I object to people copying this info (usually verbatim) when I have taken time and effort or paid another member of staff to do it.

I have been selling my nao figurines this week, I just looked at completed sold listings from private sellers and mainly used their text, though not photos.

Other people have lives too, they've got their own things to do, but still manage to spend 5-10 minutes to write a listing.

OFFS, catch yourself on. Its some words in a listing. Or a picture.

    Get over it.

I'll bet you copied your friends homework when you were at school - why do it yourself when someone else can do it for you. ;) There are probably many ways of 'cutting corners'. Why should anyone put time and effort into something for someone else to claim as their own? I was selling a fairly unusual item the other week and made a montage of 3 different angles of it - surprise surprise when I was looking to see if there were any others there was MY pic on another listing AND the excact same wording. Was pulled in about an hour. They took their own pic (now that wasn't too hard was it) although the copy is still more or less the same...
  • This goes beyond lazy and definitely into dishonest.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/POKEMON-CARDS-35-CARD-LOT-CHARIZARD-EX-ARCEUS-LV-X_W0QQitemZ110495629715QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Collectables_TradingCards_RL?hash=item19ba0d8193

This seller is claiming to have one of the most desirable cards about, and even puts
THE PICTURE IS USED TO SHOW YOU (THE CUSTOMER) THAT I DO HAVE THE CARDS I SAY I DO AND I WILL RANDOMLY INSERT THE CARDS INTO THE LOTS I SELL.
However, the 4th picture comes from here:

Even though I'm not that bothered usually, I had to report that one.
Theres a bit of laziness, and then theres just plain lying.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine
