i too have been duped by APS i paid them £35 tuesday then Nothing! and they will not answer the phone or reply to emails!
i Had checked them out first with the OFT who at the time said theyd had NO complaints re this company?
ive contacted the OFT and the TOS but i dont think anything will come off it,
lets pray they get removed from the website now that all the officials are aware of them0 -
I think the thing that annoys me the most about all this is that I have always avoided anything that looks remotely like a scam....and here I am furious with my naive behaviour.
It isn't about the amount they have conned me out of it is the fact that these people will go on to create further loan companies with the same dodgy ethics.
If "Ian Wilkie" had stolen the money from my pocket I could have him arrested...but like lambs to the slaughter we actually queued up to pay this damned activation fee. I would love to know how many people actually got ripped off.
Trading standards can only do so much and ok...so people will be aware of APS/paydayloanking but as another lot get scammed a new business will immerge and the cycle will repeat itself.0 -
Hi there
My son has had similar experiences with APS. I noticed further down the name 'Ian Wilkie' was mentioned and did a quick search and came up with an interesting article ‘Curse of family that thrives on failures’ Tony Hetherington, Financial Mail, 24 September 2006on the ‘ This is Money’ website (Ian Wilkie is mentioned about half way down the page, para beginning 'You see Brayton Estates was run by...).
Unfortunately I can't post the link but because of the spam prevention on the site0 -

It seems those scum bags APS have finally taken their site down. It's now been replaced by a sedo parking page.
hxxp://xxx.paydayking.com/
So, they still own the domain and weren't forced to take it down. But, they must have been getting so many complaints in their inbox, they thought it best they shut up shop (for now anyway)!
Power to the people!0 -
Better the Devil you know...
All this means is that they will create another site with a different name and continue as before.
Soon enough there will be another sprawling thread with a different group of posters all falling for the scam by the new company.0
