What size pots are you growing your courgettes? Will a Morrisons bucket be OK?
Also can I grow and aubergine in a pot (and what size)?
Thanks0 -

It might not be too late for courgettes also, but you might want to buy some tomato plants if you want to grow tomatoes, as they probably should have been started off earlier. Also you can sow seed for cabbage and cauliflower for autumn/ winter harvesting and you are not too late to sow seed for peas and beans and carrots....i'm sure there are lots of other veggies you can grow now, but i've only had one cup of tea this morning and need another before my brain gets to first gear
It's possible to still sow peas? I've bought a mini greenhouse and some peas/onion/tomato and brussel sprout seeds in the sale and was planning on using them next year. But if I can sow some now I would love to get going! What would I need? I don't really have any border space in the garden as I have bedding plants/shrubs all the way round. I have tumbling tomato plants in plant pots on the soil which I have grown from seed, but need to plant them out into a trough container. Any advice appreciated!

They had 2 types of buckets at my Morrisons, a smaller 5 Litre one and a skightly larger one. I have all mine in the larger one. Might not be ideal to be honest but I feed them and water them a lot and my courgettes seem to be fine.0 -
Its really windy here today ( no signs of any rain though) have just come home from work and done my usual garden inspection and have found that some of my sweetcorn are starting to get blown over, they are about 12 inches tall. Should I replant them a bit deeper or stake them?
I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order.

You certainly can grow peas now. Lots of varieties of peas say on the pack to plant up till the end of June, but we're only a few days in to July, so get goin sowin'.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

The pack of peas I have says to plant until mid-June, would I still be ok planting a few now? What do I plant them in? I don't have any free containers, there may be a little space at the back of the borders against the fence. Other than that I have a blue Ikea bag which could be used as a bed? Sorry for all the questions - but am definitely a newbie!!Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0

I've just planted some mangetout peas into window boxes (£1.99 from Poundstretcher). I put six 4 foot canes into each and made a sort of tent shape tying them together with string for the peas to climb up. Otherwise, an old bucket would do (with some holes drilled in the bottom). I don't know what the Ikea bags are like, but if they're fairly rigid you might be able to use that too.0
