Had a nosey around stuff today and unfortunately my garlic hasn't split either, it looks like a fat roundish clove lol.
Carrots are starting to look like they are ready and weirdly, I had a nosey at my cauli and cabage and noticed one of the cauli has a golfball sized florette at the middle

I'm beginning to think that the 'gardening' my DD likes to do isn't that bad lol. Seriously though I'm really sorry about your plants and your mischievous pup. Were they from seed aswell?0 -

OH's dad had grown from seed and given to me..
Doesn't seem to be bothered with tomato plants so far, fingers crossed!!
He's also eaten a couple of courgette plants, cucumbers, sweetcorn, parsley, peas, oh, the list goes on.. little !!!!!! xx0 -
Chimera - sorry about your plants - our yellow lab doesn't eat the plants but keeps trying to dig to Australia in my latest and luckily so far unsown raised bed. I've made screens for the other beds but now they are growing thickly she's not interested - it's the soil she loves.
Is Puppy a real puppy? ie just a few months old? Because chewing is what puppies do best and is part of their development. We always made sure ours had plenty of chewy stuff - toys, sticks, etc - and have never had any damage to shoes, furniture, plants, anything.

He's nearly 8 months old.. Working dog - a Sprocker (springer cocker cross) and bonkers. Gets plenty of exercise and lots to chew. Hopefully he'll grow out of it - big dogs don't bother with any of the plants (two springers). To be honest he's only doing what he's supposed to do, and finding things with mummy's scent on, so I can't be cross!! Gotta love him, the little monster!! His name is thorn - apt name - Thorn in my side!!0 -
I am happy that my courgette plants in my raised bed have had a growth spurt last night! Now i can say " i told you so" to the people who criticised me for planting my courgettes 18" apart as per instructions, when they said 6" spacing was enough!0

Yesturday I had none - today another story. I have green aphids starting on my a couple of my chilli and pepper plants. Black aphids have attack my courgette. Some black ladybugs seem to be keeping guard but the aphids have just come from nowhere.

Glad everyone doing well, you may remember that this is my first year with an Allotment and today I picked my first Tayberries (left from previous owner) and I have just made some Jam with them - how yummy, I'm loving this "Grown your own" lark. Also offered some Raspberries from another Allotment holder, picked and in the Fridge and I will use these tomorrow when I make a Pavlova.;)
In the Garden everything doing well too - still growing and eating Radishes, salad leaves, chives for Potato Salad and Tomatoes and cucumbers have flowers on them - I'm getting so addicted to all this Gardening. It just makes me feel so:D:D.
