my lettuce are doing well. Basically I've realised that I havent planted anything like enough stuff and will need more room to grow more things."The purpose of Life is to spread and create Happiness" :j0

Truly impressive lunar - can you tell me your secret with garlic please? I planted mine in November, so they've had plenty of cold, and sun and they (the ones I've pulled) haven't even divided. I've left the others in their pots to hopefully grow some more.0

I grew mine in huge pots - 2 to a pot, obviously haven't got green fingers as far as garlics concerned :rotfl: but well done you, the photos were really great (and I bet they taste as good as they look)

Whoo-hoo! Blagged my first ex-recycling box from a neighbour, and said neighbour is now on a mission to find me some more. She thinks she can already locate a further 2. :j The one I already have needs a good clean and extra holes in the bottom, but as I'm just collecting for now.
I have 2 minarette apples. One of them hasn't done anything this year (they're in their 2nd summer). When I pruned it there was green wood, so I'm going to keep an eye on it and hopefully it will do something next year. The other looks healthy and well, but it has white froth on it. So I'll need to do a washing up liquid wash for it.spendy/she/her ***DEBT-FREE DATE: 11 NOVEMBER 2022!*** Highest debt: £35k (2006) MY WINS: £3,541 CASH; £149 Specsavers voucher; free eye test; goody bag from Scottish Book Trust; tickets to Grand Designs Live; 2-year access to Feel Amazing App (worth £100); Home Improvement & Renovation Show tickets; £50 to spend on chocolate; Harlem Globetrotters tickets; Jesus Christ Superstar tickets + 2 t-shirts; Guardians of the Galaxy goody bag; Birmingham City v Barnsley FC tickets; Marillion tickets; Dancing on Ice tickets; Barnsley FC v Millwall tickets0 -
Oh ok. I'll keep them going then and just use my judgement on size. The main set are starting to fruit already so I thought maybe I'd missed the boat on those.
Had a nosey around stuff today and unfortunately my garlic hasn't split either, it looks like a fat roundish clove lol.
Carrots are starting to look like they are ready and weirdly, I had a nosey at my cauli and cabage and noticed one of the cauli has a golfball sized florette at the middle0 -
evening all! it's absolutely chucking it down tonight, course it is, i spent an hour watering after dinner...
my garlic is doing fab! only pulled one bulb so far - just to be nosy - but it looked perfick - just drying it out now... planted that last autumn, so it'd better be good!
is it right i can't plant garlic or onions in the same spot one or t'other've been planted before?? will have to find me a new patch if so... gawd knows where!
my toms are only just flowering too - and only spotted 5 fruits between 15 plants the other day when i got rid of all the leaves that'd gone manky...
another courgette flower has appeared.. really need to find time to read that courgette article PDQ... except there aren't enough hours in the day! been shopping & making & decorating cake for my baby boy's 3rd birthday tomorrow - bad enough doing the eldest's 17th last week - where do the years go??????????

Butternut squash has 1 male and 1 female flower open this morning too I am so pleased.
My peas are going a bit wild too and have got loads of pods and flowers too, turnips are still being a pain and are continuing to bolt
Peppers seem to have suddenly come on really well and have loads of buds on hope I will get some off them as everyone else seems to have actual peppers on them has anyone else still got buds?
Red cabbage looks well but is so large and does not have the cabbage bit in middle yet any tips ?:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o
