Hi kimmee - checked them this afternoon and I have 2 coming through.:j Lets hope the rest come through eventually too, just think it's not hot enough in there yet.
Hi scotsaver - thats great :j All of mine have now come through, got six, and they grow really fast once they do come through. They're cute too like the cougettes (not surprising really :rotfl:). Anyway - I'm sure yours will be just fine, once my first couple germinated the others followed on in quick succesion.
Like the other posters my salad leaves are ready to pick, even though I thought it would be another week or so - when I looked today they had grown quite a bit in the last couple of days. My second lot have germinated and I'm going to sow a third lot on Monday.
My American Land cress has finally germinated :j - thought it never would. And started to harden off my toms. On Monday (weather permitting) I'm going to transplant my second lot of peas, sow my french beans and basil, sow more carrots, radish, spring onions and rocket. And probably re-pot my chillis and sweet peppers into their final pots. Oooh, its all so exciting0 -
Just been catching up on the BBC Dig In site as was on BBC homepage (checking weather as going car booting on hunt for cheap plants) the guy put his courgette in a black bucket to grow in. I did another lot of courgettes, only one failed to germinate, I now will have about 10 courgette plants in total. Bit scared to give any away in case they fail a\nd I end up with nothing!Ahhhh.... lemony fresh victory is mineee!!!0

I may be wrong heynonnynonny but I'm sure I read on either this thread or the April one that got spammed, that even one courgette plant will give you a lot of courgettes - I was worried about being overrun by them so I gave all but 4 of mine away. Ofcourse you may be much more of a courgette fan than meOr ofcourse I may be wrong and will wish I hadn't given any away :rotfl:
PS: Great radishes Seraphina!0 -
I was really worried my courgettes weren't going to germinate this year either. I sowed 3 the beginning of April and there was no sign of life. I then sowed another 3 about 7-10 days later and they are little superstars. The original 3 seem jealous because of all of the attention that they're getting, so about 2 weeks ago they finally decided to germinate and poke through!
I have some butternut squash seeds I saved from store bought ones last autumn and they have grown like weeds. I've been really pleased with them because it was my first seed saving attempt and it's been incredibly successful!March win: Fair Squared organic spa skincare set

Oh look at them radishes go, yum yum!!
I am a fan of courgettes I have to say...I may have to find some people to give them to, a couple of my friends don't even know what courgettes are though *rolls eyes*!
Can't wait until a few months down the line reading about what we have all been successful at and managed to harvestAhhhh.... lemony fresh victory is mineee!!!0 -
Went to Stafford carboot sale today but was pretty poor, and I didn't come away with any plants or seedlings so am disappointed! My local paper has done a seed promo thing so am off to get 5 free packs of seeds tomorrow which is niceAhhhh.... lemony fresh victory is mineee!!!0
