    Hi! :wave:

    It sounds like you've been really busy.

    I understand the bit about your husband, mine thinks I'm loopy. He just doesn't like gardening. (Just as well I do really!)

    I'm planning to grow my tomatoes in old wine boxes ( free from merchants! how mse is that?)
    they are 10' long, 7'wide and 7' deep....if i line them, put drainage holes in and fill with multi purpose, will my tomatoes be ok? and should i just put one plant per box? Thanks guys!x

    Hi everyone - sorry I've not been on for a while but been busy in the Garden/greenhouse and I also have an allotment but I have been keeping up to date with all your Posts - great to see everyone has been really busy and everyone doing really well.

    Everything coming along really well in the Greenhouse, peas, beans, tomatoes, peppers, aubergines, chillies etc etc have all germinated - the only thing not to have germinated yet are my Sweetcorn, cucumber and parsnip - think it's maybe not warm enough yet. Will have another look tomorrow and then maybe sow some more.

    Carrots will need thinning out soon as they are getting overcrowded and it looks like I will be picking my first radishes for salad this weekend.:j

    Have a good weekend everyone.:D

    Well no sign of slugs. However, looks like something has had a chew on one of my tomato leaves. No sign of anything but there was a spider hanging from the leaf so maybe whatever it is has been eaten? Anyway, I'll keep an eye out...

    Hi scotsaver, so exciting that you'll be able to harvest something!

    Goodluck with the slugs
    xxxxxxx
    I have found that dried eggshells crushed up are great at keeping the slugs away not had any slugs at all yet (touch wood)
    I HATE SLUGS SOOOOO MUCH:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
  • Garnetlady, that sounds like something I would also do, I've used plant canes before now as they are a lot longer and I can hold it out at arms length that way *shiver*

    Janibrown welcome, lol my fella just lets me get on with it too, they are jealous cos the seedlings get more attention!!

    Lutink the wine boxes sound lovely.
