The stuff that's ready to go now was planted from plug plants from farm shop - it has 20 in - maybe should have put a few less, but i bough 20 so shoved em all in.
The seedlings were taken from seed tray, i've planted 1cm apart.
The others which are just germinating, were sowed direct and to be honest I put loads in - I'm gonna have to thin out, but planning on putting seedlings i've thinned into another pot, so it's all good!0 -
I don't think anything could have gone wrong as they look healthy enough but to be honest they don't look like mine (I thought they did look a little like cress too!!). What variety are they? Mine are organic mixed leaves from Unwins. Thats not to say they are perfectly ok - time will tell
Oh i`m a bit worried now lol!
They are lakeland exclusive mix salad leaves. On the back of the seed pack it says contents Pak Choi canton white, greek cress, salad rocket victoria, mustard (pizzo and red frills), mizuna http://www.thompson-morgan.com/seeds1/product/4790/1.htmlDebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

Well from whats you've described and the photo from the link, they aren't the kind of leaves I've got so take no notice of me :rotfl:
Why don't you wait a week or so and if you're still worried take another photo and post it on here to see if you get any more advice. If you're really worried why not buy another pack of mixed leaves (or did you get the Dig-In seeds, there were mixed leaves in there) and sow those. You need to sucessionaly (sp?!!) sow salad leaves anyway. Last year I sowed some every 2 weeks. Good luck0 -
Have you got some left in the packet? When I sowed salad leaves there were about 4 different seed types in the packet but when i tipped a few out into my hand i got only the small black ones (god knows what they are) so i ferreted round a bit and there were some big white ones and some big black ones too. if i had just sowed what first came out I would have only ended up with one type. Perhaps just the small cress seeds came out??0

"Courgettes go in vertically, mine went in about an inch under compost in 9cm pots and 5 of 6 have come through strong! "
Well ... if it works for you Heynonnynonny then it might just work for me too!!"Courgettes had popped out again (this seems to be happening with my runner beans alot for some reason) so i pushed one back in then went to push the other back in ... only to find it had grown and what i was seeing was the start of the plant with the shell on top of it ... kinda like a wee chick or something ... with this being the case ... i think i may have killed the other one that i pushed in yikes ... but happy days for the wee shoots ... "
Ohh ... I hope you find out what we're supposed to do with them Elantan. I'll let you know if mine start to do something similar.
At least I've got good weather for it this morning.

My mother in law says mine dont look rightI actually did think they looked a bit cress like and then asked her to look at my pics http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=580693455&ref=profile#!/photo.php?pid=4038964&id=580693455 and she called to say yes they looked `unlike hers` :rotfl:
These were my first ever projectand i`m hoping they are ok, IF they dont look right what could of gone wrong?
They look allright to me, the one that looks like cress are the pak choi. i'll take a picture of mine and post it on here when i get back from work.0 -
