I went to morrisons today for the cheap compost, and they are now 2 for £5, got some anyway, it's not as good quality :(as the B&Q compost. Also got a greenhouse thermometer put it in the greenhouse and it's 80 degrees in there at the moment...wow it's warmer in there than in the house lol.
Haven't been able to find any cheap mange tout seeds so bought some from mr m's ....£2 something:eek:0 -

premier seeds direct on ebay are good and fast. If you don't want a large selection, moreveg.com sell seeds for 50p. Otherwise, netto's 19p a pack or lidl has them for 29p or 49p a pack. wilko's do 3 for £1.500 -
May I just ask - has anyone seen for sale those thick plastic big bucket trugs with the handles either side for a good price - am thinking my courgettes are going to need them and possibly my raspberry which seems to be growing loads.Ahhhh.... lemony fresh victory is mineee!!!0

ARRRGGhhhh!
Been away for 2 weeks and dont relaly have time to read through. Hope all is well in the land of fruit and veg. Update on our stuff. Onions are doing well a few are poking through now so think theyll be fine. all fruit trees and bushes doing v well....now for the painful bit.
Dont relal yknow why but planted our veg seed sdirectly into greenhouse floor before we went away. I came up with an elaborate homemade wtering system which consisted of trays, bottles, you name it and just about got away with it. Now though i have literally hundreds of things growing but no idea what they are!! Ha time will tell i suppose will try and post pics once they get to a size where they may be able to be distinguisable. Why i didnt pot them up first god only knows... you live and learn0 -

Home bargains sell them, as do B & M. The ones in Home Bargains are £2.99 each, which is a very reasonable price since i've seen some places selling them for £5.99 :eek:Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200
NSD Challenge: October 0/140 -
