I hunted the number down via Serco who manage DLR when i was wrongly given a penalty fare. After finally getting this number, the appeal was dealt with quickly and got overturned.
Lots of solicitors will give the first 30 minutes free.
So you might be able to find out if it is worth spending more money before you spend it.
It was 30 mins of good free advice... Northern rail who passed the prosecution on to First great western, had decided that all the costs would actually total near enough 2 to 3 grand, under a bye law I was guilty as my pass was monthly and the being able to bring your pass back later thing was for annual tickets only.. so I ended up after arguing my case with the min fine, min costs, and a victim surchange.. so it came to a total under £150 I think from memory.. a lot better then the 860 quid which went to near 3k... so thanks for advice..
right now the train companies have turned all G4S nazi on commuters.. it's war out there!!
