HTC Bravo renamed Desire, released March 26th

I called up T-Mobile retentions on 31/03/10 and agreed on the HTC Desire, 300 mins, 300 texts, £100 for hanset 18 month contract. Once I hanged up the phone I immediately received a text message saying thank you upgrading and that I would receive a text within 7 days detailing when to expect delivery of my new handset. Well, it's been over 7 days I havn't received the text but I guess this could be due to the holidays etc. I just check my t-mobile account and noticed that my price plan has been changed to the new 300 mins, 300 text price plan as of 07/04/10 even though I havn't received my new handset or even the text with details of when to expect delivery of the handset.
Has anyone else who upgraded with T-Mobile experiencing this. It's frustrating and annoying that Orange and Vodafone users have already received their new handsets, whereas T-Mobile users have not even though it was released way earlier. sigh...0 -
A colleague just ordered from T-Mobile and they are currently out of stock I'm afraid. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

How is everybody who has one finding the battery life?
I understand that you will need to charge daily but have heard some people are not finding this sufficient!
Don't mind charging each night but would be no good for me if it needed to be charged more than once a day.
Thanks.
There are things you can do to prolong the battery life. The first thing you should do is go to the Android Market Place and download an app called 'Advanced Task Killer.' Stick it on your home page and when you tap it, it shows exactly what's running. I kill everything except a couple of necessary ones.
Next, you should download an app called 'Advanced Settings.' stick that on your home page too. Use this to quickly change the screen brightness (when going from out to in etc), and turn the Wi-fi, GPRS, Bluetooth etc on and off as necessary. For instance, I have the Bluetooth off unless I need it, I turn the Wi-fi off at work as there's no network, and I turn the GPRS off at home unless I need it (to find my way to the garden shed lol.)
I've found that playing games and watching youtube videos drains the battery the most.0 -

I thought that was the case, but it is right for them to randomly change my price plan to the new one even though I havn't received details of when to expect delivery of the new handset. I was under them impression that I would move to the new price plan once my new handset has been dispatched.0 -
Looking to get the desire as a new contract customer preferably from Vodafone, O2 or maybe orange (T-mobile no good in my area).
I am looking to pay £20 p.m. if poss - don't mind paying around £80 or so for the handset (wold prefer it to be free but not sure I've got a chance!) - had a look on !!!!!!!!! and a couple of deals came up but both are for mobiles.co.uk and I have noticed alot of bad comments about these.
1st deal is Vodafone £20 p.m., 300 mins unlimited texts and unlimited internet (assume this is the 500mb). However, when I go to the mobiles.co.uk site, the tariff doesn't mention anything about unlimited internet, just the minutes and texts - is internet definitely included in this deal?
Also, is it likely that I will be able to get a deal similar to this directly from vodafone/O2/orange at some stage as I would prefer to get direct from the network if mobiles.co.uk are no good.
Many thanks.0 -
I think, like all phones, heavy net usage just drains the battery.
I must admit I did take my usb cable to work today to be able to charge the phone if necessary!!
Buy a second cable and get a USB charger and keep it there...i have had to do that for my touch diamond and will prob have to do it for the desire when it arrives...role on next week when HTC release it sim free!
