People, i just thought i would update you on the deal i got via orange retentions. Please remember that i have been with orange for 4 years and out of contract about 5 months and paying around £50 per month bill. Anyway i was originally offered the HTC desire for free and then the panther 45 deal for £42.50 per month on an 18 month contract. Anyway after threatening to leave and asking for me pac i agreed on the desrie for £15 fee and panther 45 deal (1200 minutes unlimited tex ,internet, email ,maps and 50 media pics) i got all that for £27.50 per month on an 18 month.I was offered braodband and mobile broadband as part of deals but declined them both because i already have home broadband and a mobile dongle.

Just called MPD and they confirmed it is unbranded/unlocked...

Although would really like confirmation from someone who has received one as part of me thinks they might just say that to get a sale.

How is everybody who has one finding the battery life?

I understand that you will need to charge daily but have heard some people are not finding this sufficient!

Don't mind charging each night but would be no good for me if it needed to be charged more than once a day.

    Thanks.

Nice deal. I was in a similar position as you and it took 2 calls in the end to get a terrific deal with Orange as their initial offers were laughable. I think alot seems to depend on who you get on the other end of the line as to how far they will go within what they are allowed to offer you (based on your spend/loyalty with them)

I think, like all phones, heavy net usage just drains the battery.

I must admit I did take my usb cable to work today to be able to charge the phone if necessary!!
