Def - sorry!
Just ordered mine sim free for £400 from play.com (just dropped was supposed to be waiting for the voucher from my play.com cc to come through - will use that for case accessories!)Using my phone to post - apologies in advance for any typos0 -
Got a nice case this morning from an Amazon reseller.
It's a leather sleeve just like a blackberry sleeve that's designed for the Desire. Keeps the phone nice and compact so very happy with it0 -

Once I hanged up the phone I immediately received a text message saying thank you upgrading and that I would receive a text within 7 days detailing when to expect delivery of my new handset. Well, it's been over 7 days I havn't received the text but I guess this could be due to the holidays etc. I just check my t-mobile account and noticed that my price plan has been changed to the new 300 mins, 300 text price plan as of 07/04/10 even though I havn't received my new handset or even the text with details of when to expect delivery of the handset.
Has anyone else who upgraded with T-Mobile experiencing this. It's frustrating and annoying that Orange and Vodafone users have already received their new handsets, whereas T-Mobile users have not even though it was released way earlier. sigh...
Well I arrived hoe from work this evening and found the phone there, they had despatched it on the 07/04/10. I havn't opened it up yet but I have seen the despatch note which says "the price of the phone kit HTC Desire is £105 inc. VAT." hmmm I had agreed a charge of £100. Also "delivery charge 4.25 GBP"
Do you think it is worth calling up and querying this ?0 -
I got my Desire the other day from Mobile Phones Direct. I went for the prepay T-mobile deal £352 inc. postage. The plan was to unlock the phone as this would be cheaper than paying £395 for the cheapest SIM free phone. When the phone arrived it came with a T-mobile SIM card but to my surprise the phone was already unlocked!
With the £200 from the O2 SIM only deal and the sale of my old iPhone I think I have got a very good deal. Top phone by the way.0 -
The only thing I can't find that I want is that barcode reader thing!!!!
(New to android phones though so maybe it's something silly I'm doing!0 -
how does anyone get a decent deal on t-mobile? I've called retentions twice now and have been quoted the new customer prices both times and they are unwilling to budge. Been with them 10 years, think it would count for something
Thing is, for the most part, this phone is proving so popular it's a providers market at the moment, you can but persist and hope.0 -

This any use?
http://www.androlib.com/r.aspx?r=barcodeIt's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -

At the moment yes, but as it comes out on more and more networks and there is better availability of the phone, it will be easier (I hope) to get a decent deal.0 -

Thank youEdited as I've sussed how to download it now.!
Now just before I installed it I've noticed:
This application has access to the following:
your personal information "read contact data, write contact data"
Full internet access
Can take pictures.
In practice what does this mean? A bit worrying it can "write contact data" ???0 -
Hello I know there's this thread and the one over at HUKD but I was wondering whether someone can post a list of essential apps, I read through both threads in the past, my Desire only just arrived yesterday. I'm new to smart phones as I've been using a Samsung E900 these last few years!
There's a few that I want like the one that tells football scores (is it called footmob?), also the app that allows you to lock the phone if its lost (I think i's called wave secure). Also the app that's like a pedometer also records speed etc..
Others that I want: all the essential google aps like google earth
any good games
an ep that helps conserve batter
an app that allows me to kills unwanted apps
Any help is appreciated,
thanks0
