Hmm Tmob told me to ring today to see if they had them in stock, I'm guessing not the from the "roll on next week...."
    ?

None in stock at the moment, lady I spoke to said the phones would be delivered as they come in, so I'm expecting a call on Tuesday or Wednesday, with delivery the next day.

So far only Virgin have the in stock (I asked today) but, they are not competitive at the lower end of the tariffs.

    Thanks for the reply :)

I am sorry to report (well not at all really...) that Virgin aren't the only ones, as I walked out of my local Tmob store with one in hand today :D

If only there was a T-Mobile store where I lived! will have to wait until next week but, have been waiting long enough for the phone, so a few more days won't hurt.

    Enjoy yours

It looks like it yes. Would have been helpful if you could explain why though.

Or is this another troll post?

It just lacks the sophistication of the iPhone. iTunes synch, whilst restrictive if you're buying from iTunes, still works seamlessly, using Double Twist or Sailing Media just isn't the same.

I found the screen great to look at, but hyper sensitive, you can just look at it (well almost) and it will ask if you want to remove icons, or will swipe across a page or two.

Screen visibility outside was also poor without it ramped up to max brightness, and as bad as the iPhone battery is, I found the Desire worse...So having it at max brightness all the time wasn't really viable.

I got a few forced closes on apps that should be able to run without problems, I'm talking the likes of Flixster or Kayak, not some backroom developers.

Only way to wake the screen is the top left power button, which I just found irritating.

Music player is very weak, the design just looks old, and as much as the iPhone is 3yrs old now, the design of the music player still looks newer than the one on the Desire.

Stock photo gallery wouldn't play nicely with iPhoto, so things like events or faces just ended up in a general folder, without categorisation.

Just think Apple have got it right, and as much as they change things at a snail pace, maybe that is the right thing to do, and the Android way of releasing a new one every few weeks isn't.
