What other benefits apart from the network branding do you get when buying from a site like mobiles.co.uk as opposed to from the network op themselves,
In the case of orange.., the fact that a site like mobiles.co.uk actually sell the phone. As of yesterday.., Orange didn't have it on their site at all.., even on upcoming phones lololol!0 -

It will mean quicker updates for the phone.
The chain of firmware will go:
Nexus One
Plain Desire (as HTC need to sort out SenseUI for it)
Network branded Desire0 -
For those of u new to Android and HTC here's a good site for apps to download. I'll be using it whenever my Desire is delivered lol. Unfortunately its a US based site so there's the odd app that may not have a use in the UK but most will be good.

From having a browse on the internet this morning it seems the desire maybe coming to orange on the 2nd April. Does any one know anymore about this? Theres nothing on their website or noted on their 'coming soon' handsets.0

Just went to T-Mobile shop in Crawley in the hope I could take a look at a working handset. Guy tells me they are delayed by two weeks due to software issues!
Virgin due to release on Thursday so will see what happens...0 -

From the way Orange don't even have the phone on their 'upcomings' list.., I think its going to be unlikely to be released within the next couple of weeks, could be a lot longer.
If u are desperate for an orange network Desire.., try CPW or mobiles.co.uk.., it will be on the network, have no branding (major advantage in my opinion) and u should be able to get it next day or soon after.0
