I found a pound coin on a table outside a pub after it had closed last night. Now, if only I could find a couple more to keep it company....0

I found another pound coin near the sidewalk this evening as i was doing my 5 mile run and managed to slip it into my sock and carry on regardless. Now I am healthy, wealthy but i am still working on the wise bit !"if the state cannot find within itself a place for those who peacefully refuse to worship at its temples, then it’s the state that’s become extreme".Revd Dr Giles Fraser on Radio 4 20170

Yesterday: we gave away several old computer cases via Freegle.
I took OH out for a free Starbucks Frappachino (voucher) and as it was the shopping centres 21st anniversary got 2 free cakes and 2 free pens!
Today: Took my mum to a community info day - lots of info and a free lunch. Loads of Deli baguettes, crisps fruit, posh cakes & pastries and ice cream too (though we didn't have any as by then we'd had enough lunch)! Oh and yet another free pen!A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -
Yesterday I made microwave lemon curd (tx for the recipe here), 2 carrot cakes, 2 foccacias (packet ood, so rather heavy), and mince and frozen chickpea casserole - all from stuff I found in fridge, freezer, cupboard and under hens. Not quite free (though some of the things were rather elderly, but nothing extra bought.

Today I went down to the local market and got loads of lovely fruit, I always crave some cold fresh fruit when it's sunny
I'm counting it as a frugal find because I normally get fruit and veg from the supermarket and had forgotten how cheap it is from a proper market! Two punnets of grapes 79p, 15 seedless satsumas for a pound and a bag of lovely vine cherry toms for 50p  I'll make it my aim to stock up on produce from the market now whenever I can make it down, it's only a five minute walk from my house too.

I'm hoping to at least be able to get one grow-bag in the garden this year and a couple of Tomato plants, as there is nothing better than sweet fresh, juicy ripe tomatoes!A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0

Love this thread - some fab finds out there and some great ideas.
My best frugal finds. When we moved in here the loft and garden were full of stuff..... I found a 1970's simon game in loft that I knew my friend was after (she had been bidding for one of ebay for about £30) so I gave it to her (she had just given me some chest of draws for DS1 room so lovely to repay favour).
2 x chinmey pots found in garden..... swapped with my aunty for her spare dinning room table and 3 chairs.... hubby then got us 1 free chair for our computer table from work... I said 'oh shame its only one it fits nicely at the dinning table' low and behold next night 4 more chairs :-). So we now have a lovely table and 4 chairs, plus a matching computer chair so my dinning room looks fab!
I got a as new set of Trivial pursuit glasses from charity shop for my friend, she is hard to buy for (has everything and expensive tastes) she was over the moon with them - the only cost £4.
Got a beautiful 1970s style necklace in a bargain charity shop for 65p..and a brand new with tags 1980's style 3/4 length black jacked £1.95p... was too small but now I have lost weight it fits and looks fantastic. Roger Taylor CD (my original copy is scratched and its expensive second hand) £2 couldn't believe it!!!
I have lost 4 1/2 stone and buy all my 'new' clothes from charity shops as I still want to loose another 3 stone and can't afford to keep updating. Have had so many brilliant finds its amazing - everyone comments on my fab new wardrobe and how much it must have cost!!! I have never had so many M&S, Dorothy Perkings, Wallis & Debehams clothes.... average spend about £1.50 per item!!!! (one DP jumper top BNWT £18 ....paid £0.99p in Salavation Army shop located next door to a dorthy perkins near my MIL! best charity shop ever same its 2 hours from my house).
There is Nothing like finding an amazing bargain in a charity shop.Debt free May 2016 (without the support of MSE forum users that would never have been possible - thank you all)0
