I've just watched 'The Perfect Man' on TV.

I shouldn't count it in some respects as it was a film on TV not one watched from my stash, but the odd one every now and then to push my figures up and make me feel like I am doing something keeps me motivated.

Ooooh! I didn't know there was a thread for this :D I've run out of storage space (have three full bookcases of just my DVD's) and some overspill on the top of the bookcases so I've finally learnt my lesson with regards to buying them (though luckily in most cases just Cash Converters/CEX/amazon market place so really only pennies.)

I've been pretty good lately with regards to watching and finally getting rid. Off the top of my head, since January, I've gotten rid of:

All 8 Harry Potter - I hate HP with a passion and only bought them (at a pound each) for the rather beautiful Mr Jason Isaacs just so I could see the hype (and see him in action :D) really wasn't worth it and was a true waste of money, but my mums kidnapped them so she can watch them so all good in the end :D

The Chumbscrubber - that film is messed up. Seriously. I still have no idea what was going on - not enough Jason Isaacs in it though, I can tell you ;)

Abduction - mmmkickboxing Jason. :o Rest of the film was shocking though.

Green Zone, Skeletons, Tennis anyone?, High Times Pot Lock, Windtalkers, Black Hawk Down, Hotel (messed up) , The Last Minute (another messed up one!) The Patriot, Soldier, Divorcing Jack, Armageddon, Event Horizon (yep, another messed up one!), DragonHeart, Shopping - all may have been bought for exactly the same reason... :A However, I have watched them and given away.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy - just couldn't get into it.

Dorian Gray - enjoyable but a one watch

    Genova - confusing

The Accidental Husband - one watch

Then She Found Me - thought the female protagonist was very dislikable and not easy to sympathise with.

Friends With Kids - basically seemed to be (spoiler if highlighted) 'you love your friends, your friends have kids, they and you hate those kids, you go on and have a kid despite all this and mope about before you say the most unromantic speech and live happily ever after with a man who's slept with the majority of the country' but even more awkward and with no chemistry whatsoever and clunky script

The Last Legion - one watch

The English Patient - couldn't get into it

PS I Love You - Can't get past 45 mins. Don't like Hilary Swank's character.

Hornblower - couldn't watch anymore episodes (spoiler if highlighted) after poor Archie died :( A one watch only though, as much as I love Archie, I won't watch again.

Jane Hall (TV Series) - enjoyable but wouldn't watch again.

Must admit, I'm more a TV series watcher than a film watcher so getting rid of the films was easy. When I get to the TV shows it won't be half as easy. Especially as I'm getting to the point of what I have now, I want to keep the majority of (and it is almost all TV drama's (law and order UK, foyles war, The bill, mccallum, ultimate force, brotherhood etc) or British Comedy or Stand Up)

I'm doing really badly at this as I've been watching Castle and Perception on Lovefilm and not watching dvds. Though I suppose it's not that bad since although nothing has left, nothing has come in (I think!)

Its nice to see someone else didn't like The English Patient . Everyone raves about it and I get very odd looks when I say I didn't like it! I've sat through the whole thing twice because someone convinced me I may have been wrong the 1st time - I wasn't!

:) Best part is Colin's "Yes, we have no bananas" dance. Other than that - I really don't like it.

I have started watching S6 of Dexter now - v.good so far. Going to have to buy S7 to watch after tho, which is not v. good for this challenge but I am recording the last series and will need to see the one in the middle before watching that.
No other dvds off the list - tho there are also none in so not too bad!
