I finished series 2 of Castle last week which ticks off a dvd from my tbw pile - I think it's the 1st of the year - poor effort from me so far! Although I don't think I've bought any either so at least the pile hasn't got any bigger!

Speaking of which, I just finished Dune. It was by far the longest film I have ever watched (four hours!!!) and not brilliantly set up in the beginning - you had to concentrate to figure out who was who and what role they had etc.

I wouldn't watch again..too long to justify it and not good enough to enthrall you the whole way.

Just thought I'd join in and say hi! I have a huge mountain of dvds - I will say that I have probably watched them all but I'm guilty of buying lots when I have things like netflix available which these days has so many films on it, it seems stupid not to use it!

So my actual aim this year is to buy no more dvds! Eek!

I'm very impressed with the fact that you've watched all your dvds! :T

Good luck with the not buying any this year - Lovefilm has pretty much stopped me buying any so far apart from certain films which I know I will watch more than once (like Skyfall when its a bit cheaper!). My internet connection is not quick enough to rely on Netflix with just online films.

I'm doing really well at the minute! I have watched JFK and The Lives of Others.

Both of them are good.

I'm slowly working my way through ER at the moment. I've had the DVDs for ages but it takes a long time to get through one season (especially since I keep nodding off watching it on an evening!) I'm currently watching Harry Potter again as it's a while since I've seen them, so maybe a couple of ER episodes tonight, then another Harry Potter - depending what time I come in from the sunshine!

I'm on disc 2 of Castle S3. I should probably try and watch some films but I find it easier fitting episodes in to an evening at the moment - especially if the sunny weather keeps up!

OK, so not a DVD but to keep me motivated I am counting all the films I watch at the minute and I watched 'The Other Boelyn Girl' on BBC2 last night.

It was quite different from the book, with the girls in it made out to be more sympathetic than they are portrayed in it, but it's was fine for a lazy Saturday night in.
