My model isn't listed on their 'problem' page but Samsung still sorted a repair man to come out and fix it.
I just said it was about 18 months old - they didn't ask for any sort of receipt or anything.
Worth just ringing them and saying you're not sure how old it is, from most answers on here they don't care anyway!0 -

My fridge is also suffering all of the problems listed. The back of the fridge on the left handside has frozen up. The sound of a small helicopter inside when the door has closed and the temperature guage flashing or stating 3 degrees when it is clearly much warmer than that (milk does not last more than a couple of hours inside).
We spoke to a friend of hours yesterday to come and sort it out, he is a white goods repairman who stated that our fridge (RSH1) had been on Watchdog and that because of the known fault that had extended the warranty period from 3 to five years.
He gave us the Samsung help number 0800 9880123, which I called this morning and it has now been booked in for a FREE repair (apparently there is a fix). Our fridge was bought in 2007.
I hope this helps somebody and saves them a couple of hundred pound.

Well guess what, i have had the same problem, but this is on my replacement fridge/freezer!
I phoned Currys first as these supplied the replacement just over 2 years and they were useless denied there was a 5 year warranty (which all the replacements had) and tried to sell us extar cover!! - Not going to ever buy from them again!
Then we contacted Samsung direct who were very helpfull and sorted an engineer and confirmed we were covered!
It was the same iced up part in the fridge caused by the thermo senor fuse!
It seems we missed the official recall by a month th last time! we did wonder why we reciebed the leetr from smasung afyter it was repleaced LoL - this was from the watchdog report!
o well, will have to check if we get an extra 5 years cover now!0 -
I'm yet another person with a faulty Samsung frige freezer (RSH1NHMH). It was making loud noises which stopped when opening the door then yesterday the frisge stopped working completely. On finding my receipt I found it was just out of warranty but called Samsung who as a 'good will gesture' are sending an engineer to fix the problem. Worth a call rather than trying to fix it yourself.0

Just phoned Samsung regarding my faulty rs21. Freezer not cold
At first the lady was very helpful and said they would send a engineer out "free of charge" even though its out of warranty as a good will gesture. She then took all details and serial she said how old the fridge was 6 years. Then she started saying as long as no engineer has been out to the house before to repair the fridge it would be free.
At which point I mentioned they had requested to send an engineer out a year or so ago for some sort of product recall.
She then started saying that I would possibly have to pay and if an engineer had modified the fridge it was chargable to me. She said there should be a blue dot inside the door if its been modded. Mine hasn't got this.
She also said they would help with getting compensation for the spoilt food at the start of the conversation but by the end she couldn't get off the phone quick enough.
Anybody encountered this before.0 -
Engineer came out today said the compressor had stopped working and it wasn't covered by samsung. So £200 to fix. Even though my freezer had the same symptoms as every one else's. I had switched it off at the wall , when I switched it back on after a few hours neither compartment got cold.0

I have just read the threads on this email and I have the same problem, I have also read on another site that there is a DIY repair kit available, as my appliance is out of warrenty I think that I will have a go at the DIY f.or around 110 pounds from appliance diy repair .co.uk
I hope this helps?0 -
Got ours fixed under warranty about 6 months ago. The engineert came round to change the panel and has been working fine since then. This last week it's started to make the "helicopter" noise again which stops when you open the fridge so looks like more problems ahead! Fridge temp has not changed yet so have phoned Samsung and they're sending out an engineer again. Has this happened to anyone else after they've had it repaired and did anyone have to pay to replace a different part the second time??In deep...0

Mine makes the helicopter noise now and again. I just move it (adjust it a bit, maybe push it back towards the wall or to the side a bit) and it shuts up. I've not heard the noise for ages now.
I've had the new widget fitted under warranty a few years ago (posted here at the time^^) and while its made me feel a bit safer, I still get the noise now and again and am unlikely to ever buy a Samsung again.
It's only a game

I'll try that but I'm not holding my breath! Hopefully the engineer will fix it. Waiting for the call to book the appointment....In deep...0
