Yes, get a repair kit from ebay <£100 and fix it. I've done ours twice about 6 years apart. Let me know if you want me to dig out the one we bought.0

Hope someone can help. I have a new Samsung American fridge and am trying to figure out how to install the filter into the waterline. I have been supplied with a tube which is mainly white, there is a bit of grey platic in the middle and then the tube is blue. I believe I have to cut part of the tube to add the filter to the line but I dont know whether to cut the blue line or white and I cant figure out what the grey thing is for. My model is RS50N35135S8. Be grateful for any help. I have tried Samsung but not much use.0

Can anyone give me some simple suggestions to try for working out why my Samsung fridge/freezer model RS21DCNS, bought in 2007, has suddenly seen the water dispenser just stop working, even though the ice maker is fine, please?
I hadn't moved it, and had a look at the water filter, but as I say, it's still making ice, so water's getting into the machine. I just have no idea how to find out what's going on with the water dispenser.
One possible cause, although I'm not sure if this is a stretch: One week earlier, my water company - United Utilities - came to check the water pressure as it felt like it had dropped a bit, and I thought that was the cause of why my boiler isn't always firing up when the bathroom or kitchen hot taps are turned on. Turned out it's not that, and I need to get that looked at (I'm due a service), but after the UU man did a lot of banging outside where the water meter is (which needs replacing, he found out, and they're coming in 2 weeks to do that), he caused the water pressure to drop. Apparently, his banging sent a load of gunk down my pipes.
So, he arranged for a plumber to come four hours later, who hooked up a compressor to the pipes where the washing machine gets its feed. He shot a load of air out, and my pressure was now better than before the UU man came earlier.
However, after he'd gone, I went to get some plates out of the cupboard on the other side of the kitchen, which has the fridge/freezer's water filter inside. Everything was wet! Now, I'd have thought that the plumber would switched the water off, so although I didn't think to turn off the feed to the fridge/freezer, if the water is off, why would I get a load of blowback coming out of the filter?
It reminded me of when a water filter failed in 2019 and I woke up to a load of water on the kitchen floor which had poured out of the cupboard. Good job it hadn't screwed the electrics as the freezer plug is in there, too!
However, with the UU man and plumber doing their work on Tues Jan 4th, and the water dispenser failing on Tues Jan 11th, could they be linked? The water dispenser was working fine up until when I went to bed on Monday night around 1am, and then I next used it around midday on the Tuesday, by which time I'm getting nothing out of it. It hasn't been moved in that time, nor had anything happen to it.
I've not activated the child lock or anything like that, so I'm baffled. Thanks in advance for any help.

As of Jan 11th, the freezer side on the machine is fine and the ice maker still makes ice, but on the fridge side, it's not quite as cool as it was before (even though the temp claims to be), and the water dispenser doesn't dispense water. Just stopped overnight.
At first, I'm thinking the two situations are connected, but then since then, I've checked the lower section of the fridge and there's a bit of frost building up where it's not really meant to. The machine was bought in 2007, and in 2011 they fitted a "Quality improvement package" to resolve "known problems", and then in 2014 I had to get the Defrost heater replaced, which I think is the problem that's happening again.
I've emailed the local Samsung-approved engineer for them to give their input. Presumably, that'll lead to them coming out to fix it.
Of course, how long do you give it before you just get the whole thing replaced? It's 15 years old, and replacing it is one thing, but getting such a MASSIVE thing through the door is a royal pain, although this time, I'd ensure the delivery men are going to install the new one AND take the old one away.
I've looked at the back of the fridge, behind the salad stuff, and this is how the area looks. I guess the Defrost Heater has gone, and thus needs replacing? The temp isn't increasing on the fridge (yet).
And I don't know whether or not the damage was caused by the United Utilities work.

Update: I ended up replacing the fridge-freezer in the end. It was a huge thing for AO to move out, but then I had a newer one put in its place, the Samsung RS8000 RS67A8810B1, which was just under £1000 in total, but now is about £300 more (the price keeps fluctuating since I bought it). There was generally a choice between Samsung and LG, but the LG doors can't be removed, so there's no way that would be getting in the house.
