My American type fridge freezer (samsung) has been annoying me for months now! first it was noisy that has stopped but now I am getting water in the bottom of the fridge and in the salad drawer. As there are such a lot of posts on here, I have not got time to read them all has anyone else had this problem and if so is there a solution to it?? (not chucking it out!)0

My advice is to call Samsung as they will, in all likelihood, repair it for free.

hi, id like to say a huge thanks for the easy instructions on how to fix our noisy ff, we live in spain, the first samsung ff we bought didnt work from day one, door readings said one thing inside temp said another, had that replaced after 2wks of technician commin out and arsing about, eventually he admitted it was stuffed.
they sent us a new one this was 2005, all was well untill a few months ago when started making a annoying noise, which stopped by opening and shutting the door.then got to the point where it didnt stop, thankfully we found this site and have now fixed this problem.
will never get another one of these fridges again, when i sell my house im gonna leave it here i was going to take it with me (I DONT THINK SO).
WILL SPEND ABIT MORE AND GET ANOTHER MODEL I THINK.

hmmm - due to being bored at work I typed in 'samsung fridge freezers' into the forum search.
I'm horrified at how bad the Samsung fridge freezers are. Me and my partner were going to comet tonight to order the RSA1 WTMH one with the 'Britta' water dispenser. I'm wondering if we shouldn't bother now! Has anyone got this Model? (I've scanned a few posts but its taking ages!!)A blonde... cleverly disguised as a Brunette.......;)0 -
My Samsung RS21NGRS has developed the "loud then warm" fridge fault, however a call to Samsung (0870 7267864) has convinced them to send out an engineer to fix it for free and give an additional 5 years warranty on the repair. No shouting required! They even acknowledged that it is a design fault, which is worth mentioning in any correspondance with them. If only other manufacturers were so obliging, I've just sent an iron and a kettle to the dump neither of which was more than 2 years old!0

Yes - I have, but as it's 8 years old Samsung don't want to know, even though it has exactly the same problem as the other model you all seem to have. They tell me it's just a co-incidence (blooming bit one if you ask me) that it exhibits the same problems, but they are not connected and they are not liable. :mad: :mad: :mad::hello:0 -

Mine is 8 years old also!! They told me it has nothing to do with a design fault! I phoned the engineer they recomended. I seem to get the impression that these engineers are sick of coming out to Samsung products. He just told me over the phone to empty it completely and leave to defrost for a couple of days! So we are now trying to consume most of the stock out of the freezer!:rotfl:0 -
My Samsung fridge freezer compressor broke at 2 years and 11 months, we contacted Samsung 4 weeks ago and they deciede to write it off..!! we are absolutley gutted we loved it (RS21FCNS) with ice/water and larder, it was £1400 when we got it and Samsung dont give a damn, the people are so polite but completely deluded as to the service they provide. We were promised a letter offering some compensation even though we asked if they would drop one off if we paid some money to it but no not interested even in retaining us as customers.
The letter has not arrived(promised Wed latest) and after two days of calls, even recieving a curtesy call from them telling me they couldnt call me..?!I have found out that they dont know what to do as I dont have my original reciept from 3 years ago (something they knew 4 weeks ago) I am so angry :mad: :mad: :mad: and asked what they expect me to do with a young family with no cooling facility...the guy said it will now go as a complaint...!!!:eek: what the heck has it been until now?
I dont know what to do as we have no idea if they will be giving us £20 or £1000 because if it is the latter then we will put it towards an AEG or better..!!!!:D0
