Can't it come out, with the doors removed - that's the house door as well as the fridge doors?

No i wish it could, even if we take the new door off the hinges and take both doors off the fridge freezer it's still 10 mm to big:(. There is another option through the window, i will just need a few strong m8s to help lift it . I think its the only way to do it without it costing a few bob..0 -
The buzz started at the weekend . Comet told me my year guarentee had run out and couldn't help. I found this site contacted Samsung direct ready for a fight. They told me it was 2years ??? and are sending someone out on Friday as I requested :T0

OK Heres the news I have had the estimate and its £317 a third of the price of m fridge freezer. I am having to have the water botle replaced as well as the freezing has cracked it and it is leaking. I am going to go ahead with the repairs I am keeping the removed parts and contacting Watchdog. If we all take a stand Samsung should replace all these parts free of charge regardless of the age. THIS IS A DESIGN FAULT0

This is a desgn fault exactly same problems with the water bottle aswell. I t is also a health and safety issue if the food is not being stored at the right temperature. I shall be contacting Watchdog0 -
The Latest form me. Believe it or not I had a phone call on Thursday morninbg from the engineer telling me he would just be fitting a new fan and no a whole new back panel. Now hang on here thats not what you told me before. Told me it wouldn't be as expensive. I said I just want to job done right. Twenty minutes later I had a call saying they had decided not to do the work:mad: . Didn't want ongoing trouble from me. Told me to go somewhere else. Not as easy as you think I phoned round Samsung is a no go area. So I rang good old Samsung again and spoke to there technical man named Graham I said I have had a quote of over £300 a third of the price of my fridge and itrs only just over two years old. Told him there so called recommended people would come ( now get this) I said the way we are going I MAY AS WELL TAKE IT TO THE TIP:mad:
Do you know what he said?????
Well if thats how you feel take it:mad: now what sort of organisation says things like that.
They have given me the names of another company who are coming next Thursday already had to pay them over £70 to get them out here. Meanwhile the wine is warm and the fridge is completely frozen at the bottom.
I haven't contacted Watchdog yey as I want some pictures of the inside of the fridge. I am also keeping the removed parts.
Please everyone even if you had your repair done under guarantee don't just sit there write. It could well go wrong again and next time you may not be covered0 -
Like many of the posters on this site, I have an R21 model which had the fridge fan failure which I have just fixed thanks to gfb's excellent instructions - many thanks.
I have another problem which is occasionally also posted here but I have not seen any successful solutions:
The chilled water dispenser stopped working at the same time as the fridge fan failure. It was not fixed by the fridge repair solution (I didn't expect it to be) so this seems an odd coincidence?
We have had the fr/fr for 3 1/2 years and it has been trouble free until now, operating at -20 deg freezer and 3 deg fridge. During the defrosting of the whole freezer and fridge last week, and the fridge only yesterday while doing the repair, the water came back on so it is without doubt freezing up. I have adjusted the temperature to -18deg and tried defrosting again, and it works but re-freezes again when back down to temperature. The water is getting to the ice tray and maker, so it is only between there and the door unit that it is freezing up. There is also no change to the food in the freezer, indeed less of it now so nothing is jammed up against it that could casue freezing in particular.
Any suggestions or solutions?
Feedback would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Mcass
sadly you will find the defrosting method is a short term remedy. The new back assembly has a small hater element by the drain hole. You also need a defrost sensor and maybe another part. Your water problem will not be remedied by the defrost method as the water bottle that feeds the supply gets frozen solid the mement you start up your FF again. You can see it when you pull the drawers out of the fridge. I am not sure where the ice cube tray fills from it may be a direct supply from the mains as it doesn't need to be cooled. I think you will find the two water supplies are coming in via different pipes. I am still waiting for a repair guy to fix all mine and thats been three weeks now. Never want to hear Samsung name again. Incidently be careful the water bottle doesn't crack mine has but while its in the frozen state it doesn't leak

The Watchdog site and investigation request can be found here:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/consumer/tv_and_radio/watchdog/contact_index.shtml
I have just contacted them, and given details of my problem, plus a link to this thread, and a link to about 5 other threads on different sites about the very same problem.
I was lucky as mine was still within the 2 year guarantee period, but the issue still needs raising (and sorting) for those of you who aren't. No matter how Samsung try to word it, it is a design fault, which is why they are replacing the back panel with one differently designed. (My engineer insisted it wasn't, as he proceeded to replace the old type of back panel, with a 'new, improved' one !)0 -
That's interesting, so is the water vessel the thing at the bottom of the fridge at the back, that looks a little like a fat white hose that has been coiled back and forth?
(I don't have a fillable water bottle, it is a cold water feed.)
There is definitely only one water supply intake which is at the top corner behind the freezer, which is why I assumed the water for the dispenser just fed the ice tray then continued across and down the door to the panel.0
