I, too, will be curious to hear the breakdown and why so much of the deposit was considered a reasonable deduction, but hell, right now I'm sure you're just glad it's all done and dusted! That's gotta be worth thousands!

I'm so glad to hear that you won! I'm disappointed to hear the judge allowed some of the handwritten receipts, but at least you got a decent amount back, and that's a better position than you were in a year ago. Well done for having the tenacity to see things through and I hope Evil Lanlady has learnt her lesson.

I was reminded of this thread as I drove past Hove Crown Court earlier today and saw a camera crew outside!

pru - does the loser have to get the winners written permission to avoid a CCJ even if they pay up within the time limit set by the judge ? i cannot see how that works as surely monies are paid into the court first who then send it on to the winner ?
