What time are we meeting up for the results? I guess everyone one here will be gathered for the news. Here's hoping there will be a giant cheer tomorrow across the land as people celebrate a victory to the little person (against evil LL who has probably been getting away with it for years) and lots of quaking in their boots by dodgy landlords.
Really hope tomorrow goes well -let us know when you get a verdict.Making my money go further with MSE :j

Thanks everyone, softens my heart to hear all these good wishes - just have the next day to get through and maybe this time tomorrow we will know more. I have the day off tomorrow so may well post in the morning asking weird questions as the nerves kick in, although I hope they won't as by then anger and absolute conviction should be in the driving seat. Mr EL will finish work at Midday-ish, we will meet at home then head in for court to start 14:00.
Plan for today:
- Print all bank statements showing we paid rent on time
- Ensure we take Special Delivery receipt for latest 'bundle' that we posted to her with us (the rest are within the bundle) - still not collected as of 16:00 today
- Find original Tenancy Agreement & take with
- Double check the bundle again
- Highlight important page numbers on bundle index
- Make final notes - 5 or 6 bullets max
- Kiss and cuddle and try to breathe!
I have to say hand on heart I don't think this will be a 'victory' even if it is so to speak, as there is still a long way to go no doubt even if we do win... to get back our deserved cash!
It is the little person against the landlord in a way - I am only just over 5'! Mr EL is taller though, my shoulder fits just perfectly in his armpit
I fully expect her to:
a) turn up with crutches or something
b) find out that she really has been unwell and that she doesn't turn up because of illness
c) find out that she has been fine, but never intended to turn up as we only have a c/o address to chase her at (which would be weird considerining she counter-claimed and then submitted a defence bundle?)
Clutton - if you are available tomorrow do you want to PM me your mobile number and I can text you when we come out of court? We will prob head off for a stiff drink! Then maybe you could post an update so everyone isn't left hangingOnly if you can though

Something has played on my mind since reading it recently suggested that the LL may try and discredit mr and mrs EL saying they were dirty noisy tenants. Is it too late to get a testimonial from your current LL and your last one (the one you have only just left) to show that you were a model tenant?
PS, try and enjoy your day in court!0
