This is why I don't want any pets - I get too upset when they get ill :(

That made me laugh but thank you.

I get so upset too but I can't remember life without pets. DH is now saying no more cats it's too upsetting. We will only have the dog then:(

Kazw, 67 items! Wow, I thought I was good to have 26 items listed! Although mine are cheats really as they are all relists, so I’ve not had to list them from scratch. You are very good!

Mummyof5 hope your pain goes soon, it sounds awful

Helen so glad you got the job

    Welcome newbies

Frodders it sounds like you had a lovely day yesterday, really pleased for you. How are you today?

Jackywhizz I hope you had a nice time in Hong Kong, I would love to go there one day

Jo, Copper is absolutely beautiful. I’ve always loved red setters

    Big hugs Rach xx

Toots, 28 items on Ebay, that’s fantastic! And having a bid straight away, how wonderful! WTG!

Jenny and Poppy how does one pronounce cwtch and how would it be used in a sentence? I like new words that will confuse everyone I know!

Boddy, how sad about that boy, I hope someone came for him in the end. Hopefully his dad will look after him. How sweet he came to see his mum all on his own, well done you for looking after him xx

I didn't manage to go out today, was meant to and started worrying last night, and in all my dreams and then woke up in a bit of a state. But have had a fairly good day despite that, and am determined to go out tomorrow. DH and I have had a lovely evening watching funny programs -did anyone else see Let's Dance for Sport Relief, it was absolutely brilliant!
DH has washed up and I've washed myself. Apart from that, no flying has been done, although I've got lots of dry washing to put away.
I've got two more pages of thread to read, but DH wants laptop now so will read them tomorrow
    Night night everyone xx

  • Evening all:hello:

I'm so ashamed :o I saved some time today to do the kitchen tasks - got round to doing the tops of the cupboards...... Ewwww, revolting. How embarrasing. It was disgusting. In fact my hands are sore from all the scrubbing.

Big hugs over to LadyL, the loss of a pet is always horrible to deal with.

Hugs to Sandy too, hope dear kitty doesn't suffer too badly.

    Greenbee, congratulations!

Soappie - mmm, Pavlova. I can never get them right - have any to share? :D

Been back to Tesco today with my new glasses that I collected on Tuesday - they haven't felt right since I picked them up and when I was doing the bathroom this morning and I was leaning over to clean the bath they stayed stuck up and not on my nose Iykwim? Anyway they were really helpful and told me to chose some more so good old Mr T :T
Whilst I was in there, I bumped into an old boss from the company where I used to work but got made redundant this time last year (I know some of you know i'm not happy in my current job). Anyway my old boss mentioned she may have some temp maternity cover for me to do would I be interested? I used to love working there - what do you guys think, would you go back to somewhere you have worked but made redundant from? I would value some alternative advice :o

    Have a lovely evening all
    nutty x

Can I get a star for MON, WED and FRI please Toots x

August bank holiday... roughly... so midway between my mum's birthday and my dad's...

I'm seeing them on Wednesday so will get to see the scan pics. They were telling both sets of grandparents this weekend.

Off to bed now. Need to get rid of this cold and get some work out of the way tomorrow.

If it's successful, then the answer's no because there'll be none left! However, if it's not then I can package it all up and post it to you :D It's been in the oven 35 mins and is looking good - i.e. it's not collapsed! Another 25 mins and I'll turn it off and leave it to cool overnight in situ. Fingers crossed!

Aww, Greenbee, August Bank Holiday - how thoughtful! You'll all have a long weekend off :D

nutty you need to consider the implications of the job - it is only temp and at the end you will be out of work again. How would you cope with that? the plus side is that you enjoyed it and the manager is keen to have you. I hope you covered the tops of those grotty cupboards with newspapers so that you dont have to scrub them ever again?
