Flying will have to come second today - got to concentrate on school stuff. I'm finally in the mood for it, so that helps. This week is going to be busy. DS2 is going to a new childminder on Mondays and Tuesdays, and our friends are now picking him up on Wednesdays. I'll have more time to do stuff after work, but less time in the mornings. We've got a [STRIKE][STRIKE]internal inspection[/STRIKE] [/STRIKE]school review on Tuesday and Wednesday and I'm still working through a lot of stuff, so time for anything will be in short supply. Must get my head around being organised today and draw up some lists/think things through.

I've never bothered with mealplans before, but think that it might be a good idea. My concern is that we wouldn't stick to it, because DS1's plans change all the time and DH can't even tell me in the morning what he'd like for tea. Also, I might plan something elaborate and then get a case of CBA. Can anyone give me some advice, please?

    S&S kitchen
Wipe sticky grubby marks from sofas - 1/4 seats done
Wipe sticky grubby marks from walls and paintwork in LR
Declutter the floor.. and vacuum it (my bedroom)
    Put away some clothes
    sort car tyres
    post car repair quote
help DS2 with stupid writing homework
    work for school
nag DS1 to tidy his room - started - and check that electronics worksheets are done

Right, time for my second cuppa and breakfast before braving [STRIKE]the dragon's lair [/STRIKE]our bedroom to wake DH.
Have a lovely Sunday, everyone, and hugs to all flyladies who are having a rough time at the moment.

    Morning lovelies!

LL (((((((((big hugs)))))))) sorry about Porky :( xx
toots well done on the ebay buy it nows.
Congrats Aunty Greenbee I agree with the others, you'll be a terrific Aunty x

Just whinging it today, I can't claim the last 2 stars because I haven't done the windowy bits on the kitchen one, nor cleaned littleys room yet, though I tidied it yesterday morning. Will do some washing today and a bit of pottering, cooking a roast chicken dinner later on too. May go and see GD and ferry DD1 round the shops later, I'll be window shopping. Looking forward to the Ski Cross @ 8pm tonight

Ooooh and I managed to pay off one of my catalogues yesterday WOOT! I've got 3 but this one really bugged me so it's gone (and account cancelled) which is why I'm window shopping today (I'm skint lol) NEXT account is errr next lol Also only got 2 more payments on a long running debt that I pay 25.50 a month for, will probs phone them up in the next couple of weeks any finish that too YAY! I've got the money together for 6 months tax on the new car (want to stagger it so Its not due at the same time as the MOT) and the cupboard and freezers are full - I'm back in control.

Will go and make the beds and stuff, laters x
  • Morning,

Can I have my 5th Star please :j

Got about 5/6" of snow and it's still coming, just checked the forecast for the week and it doesn't look like it's going to get any better for a while. I am so fed up of this snow! It renders me house bound and unable to do anything :( I'm due back at work on Tuesday after my mat leave and I don't think I will make it in if the snow keeps up. I know that shouldn't make me mad as I get to put going back off a bit longer but I have already used 2 weeks holiday due to dd being in hospital, I'll have none left at this rate. It's also my B'day this week and it's forecasting heavy snow for the day at the moment, guess I'll be cancelling the meal and staying in with dd instead

I'm giving ((hugs)) away free today so big, warm, squishy one for all that need them or for anyone that just wants one!
Crazy unorganised mum in need of help!

How about just planning the base of the meal - ie Monday Chicken, Tuesday Veggie, Wednesday mince, etc. and then you can decide what you're actually going to do with it on the day when you know how you feel. Or make a plan for the week but not specify days so if you've planned on doing omelettes one day and pizza another it doesn't matter which day you have them on if that makes sense.

    .

We're a bit like that lol I meal plan probs 3 weeks out of 4 but I use it as a guideline more than stick to it rigidly, we swap and change plans all the time, I think off this weeks list I've only done one thing on the right day lol OH may buy a chinese, or the kids eat out somewhere else so we just have beans on toast or something , having said that I do like it simply for the feeling of control it gives me plus I make my shopping list from it, at least i'll have 7 days meals in the house as a fall back.

    This is what I do.
Mince night during the week is spag bol or lasagne, on a weekend it's chilli. We eat a lot of chicken so I tend to just make sure I have the stuff in for a variety of different chicken meals and then do whatever I can be arsed to make on the day!

    Hello all we are home.

Two of the boys have broken arms - one a straight forward fracture, the other a bit more complex with two fractures and a dislocation which required a quick GA to fix. One credit card bill maxed out with medical fees:eek:

House is a tip from the cats and the builders being here for a week - from the state of the floors I guess it's rained a lot.

Done 2 hours flying and only made a small indent in the mess.

I'll try to catch up with the thread later but hope you are all ok.

    From the old thread.

Piggers - not sure what you decided on the pup but I'd say no, no and no (Hex how many things are we up to on the list of why not to have a dog?)

Helen Jelly - we have a veg plot in the front garden - neighbours made loads of comments but they think I'm mad anyhow :D

Serena - glad DS can get back on the pitch - it's going to be a long few months here!
The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair
