I disagree - it's far better to be the youngest in the year! You get a head start for one!
it's just that we are focussing, atm, on the 'summer' babies as they often have a term's less schooling than the older ones...in particular looking at PE skills.
Other factors that will affect though, which we won't be taking into account will be birth weight, environmental influences and gestational length!

Dunno what it's like at Buxton...called off! About 3-4" snow here - so my car is staying put. Umpteen road closures/accidents in Sheffield including some cars stoped on a hill that slid back down into each other when their brakes didn't hold.

and you're right - a whole extra year at home with babe!
    I KNOW you'll be a brilliant Auntie..and no doubt a proud one.

DH is obviously holding a grudge because of last night - gone out without talking to me. Oh well, there's nothing I can do about it now.
I've hoovered and tidied downstairs, so it's the upstairs now, then lunch.
It's stopped snowing and for a while it's been thawing, but temperatures are set to drop later, so we'll see.

  • Hello all!!

have been a bit pants at keeping up with the thread, apologies although feel free to grab a hug if you need/want one xx

Today is "sort everything for school tomorrow" and" plow through the pile of washing/drying/folding/ironing" day

Dont forsee that I will earn any more stars this week. The house looks fairly reasonable and I anticipate that I will do better stars wise next week.

Cant think of anything amusing to say...oh dear :(

  • Hi!

Well the long 14 miles turned into 8 miles yesterday..........mainly due to the knee high snow on the mountain!!! I am in physical pain here today but am pleased I managed it. The walk UP was over 3 miles so that is an achievment in itself!

Going to take the dogs out now for a very gentle stroll, just to ease up some muscles...............................

    1 step xx
If you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T
    I'm not short - I'm condensed awesome! :p

And I'm a web octopus! I had big trouble with the game with the objects behind the doors. The others were quite a breeze.

I'm a web octopus too. Like you I found the objects behind the doors most difficult but the number and letter game easy.

WM on, ebay pics taken, making a victoria sandwich with DD1 while DD2 is in bed next.
