Oh munchki :( After all that work too :( Could you ask them to keep your application on file? A long shot but I did once go back and offer a job to someone who wasn't right the first time round but fitted something I had a few months later.

They are keeping my details on file in case this other person ends up not being the right person. They said if they would have known about me last week I would most certainly have had an interview as I was much like the person they ended up hiring. Not sure why they tell you that, really does not make you feel better! lol

not letting it get me down, do feel very disappointed but hey that is the way it goes sometimes.

Back to the drawing board I suppose lol, maybe this one tomorrow will turn out ok. I have a couple things that I am going to have to come up with a good explanation for with the guy, so having a think now.

I've just had the most simple but brilliant idea.

None of us are in this alone. We're all helping each other. So let's set up a blog and/or website about the challenge. This should include links to each individual website, details about why we're doing the challenge, how we've joined together for support and sharing ideas etc ... strength in numbers! We need to get ourselves out there as much as possible, and there's a story in this, so let's get ourselves some free publicity! Anyone know how to get this into the press, and how to promote it?
Amber Fantastic idea, I will help in anyway that I can, If nothing else just try and get followers through twitter etc. There are lots of ways to get noticed on there, infact come to think of it I often 'tweet' with a feature writer on there could be a way forward.
Hi all. I was working my way through the old thread but was pointed in the direction of this new one.
I'm amazed how well you are all doing. I would like to join in although dont think I could make 10k realistically, only trouble is I dont have much inspiration as to what I could do. However I will join in and see how well I do. One idea I have is to sell a bit on ebay. Wanted to ask the question, do people find when they sell on ebay, single items or bundles work best for baby clothes and maternity clothes? I have sold a few bits in the past (always 1 bit at a time), but the last time I put 8 items on there only 3 sold (and I had really low start prices as well) Just curious whether people would be put off by having several items in a bundle or whether this would be a better tactic as perhaps people think that it is better value. TIA
I have personally made more by listing individual items but it does depend on what you are selling. Named stuff, ie designer, next, gap, etc get a higher individual price. This is only my personal experience though. Also overseas buyers like these things too so maybe make that an option just state in listing that you only offer international signed for postage and to contact you for a price.

Update on the scotland interview. The company was using multiple agencys but not communicating well with each of them. The company in fact advised the agency the wrong dates of holiday etc. Anyway long story short, they loved my CV and under diff circumstances would have interviewed me if they had not just offered the job to someone else when everyone thought the woman was on holiday!! Oh well, it was obviously not meant to be. so as I seem to say a lot, onwards and upwards!!
Munchki (((hugs))) I had everything crossed for you. You are so positive though and something will be yours very soon xx

Kids were very well behaved at the cinema!!! No toilet trips every 2 seconds! Spoke to a friend who is dragging me to the gym tonight to do some classes (for free) and although I am looking forward to it I know I will only feel worse afterwards as i do have weight issues anyway and just can't afford the monthly fees to join, so whilst they will have fab beach bodies come our weekend away in june I will just be waiting for greenpeace to arrive lol. But I will go along if just to get outof this house for a couple of hours child free.

Ebay is looking up though lots more watchers and bids on 3 items, not mega money but a few pennies and rid of stuff that is no good to me xx

*Do you find starting your listings at 99p with a reserve is more successful than starting at the reserve price?
Reserve cannot be used under £50 I believe.
*Do you find listing an item ending on a particular day of the week and time more successful than others?
I don't - some people say it's best to list on Thursday eve for 10 days then your auctions finish on Sunday night.
    * Does it make a huge difference to take time and effort to photograph the products as best as you can?
    YES!
    * Does making the listing look fancy and colourful make a difference?
I've never tried it, but as a buyer I'm never impressed - I just want the facts and an accurate, truthful description- in fact I mostly think "Yuk!" when I see overly decorated templates on Ebay!
    * bundles of clothing or single items work best?
Other people on here sell baby things (designer items singly, all others in bundles) but I've only sold adults clothes and I've done it singly (and mostly sold them with no probs).
    HTH!

I was really surprised, really wasn't expecting anything, I am still learning my way around. Impressed hubby too, now he might not think I am quite so mad lol! Just added Amazon Associates too so fingers crossed. Now just need to write lots more! Think next one will be about my children making a mountain of oancake batter and then deciding they don't like pancakes after 1 mouthful :rotfl: Does anyone know how long you can keep pancake batter for?
