    Mimms.....PHONE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wayne it seems a little expensive to me but get others opinions. depends how much profit you will be making-its just as bad to underprice yourself as overprice!
  • Hi all. I was working my way through the old thread but was pointed in the direction of this new one.
I'm amazed how well you are all doing. I would like to join in although dont think I could make 10k realistically, only trouble is I dont have much inspiration as to what I could do. However I will join in and see how well I do. One idea I have is to sell a bit on ebay. Wanted to ask the question, do people find when they sell on ebay, single items or bundles work best for baby clothes and maternity clothes? I have sold a few bits in the past (always 1 bit at a time), but the last time I put 8 items on there only 3 sold (and I had really low start prices as well) Just curious whether people would be put off by having several items in a bundle or whether this would be a better tactic as perhaps people think that it is better value. TIA

Thats ok Mimms-at least you sounded keen and it might make them remember you more when they decide! positive mental attitude hun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • I thought maybe these questions may help others when listing on ebay. Sorry if its a silly idea, just thought it may help some.

*Do you find starting your listings at 99p with a reserve is more successful than starting at the reserve price?
*Do you find listing an item ending on a particular day of the week and time more successful than others?
    * Does it make a huge difference to take time and effort to photograph the products as best as you can?
    * Does making the listing look fancy and colourful make a difference?
    * bundles of clothing or single items work best?

Hi Wayne, went looking on the web to see if anyone else was selling similar packs to see what your pricing looked like and found this.

    http://www.vistaprint.co.uk/t-shirts.aspx?xnav=pricingdetails&rd=2

Now personally (sorry) if I wanted my own design on a t-shirt I'd do this as for one it's cheaper, for another it's probably screen printed rather than a transfer sheet (which do wear off in the wash eventually) and for another if they bodge the print it's their problem and they reprint it where if I make a mess of it with your transfer paper I'm a bit stuffed.

So you are looking a bit pricy to me - sorry probably not what you wanted to hear.
  • Hello, I've come over here, as it looks like a helpful and not at all dribbly thread!

Made £40 on Amazon so far (and it's the rubbish that's gone!), although will almost certainly take advantage of the cheap listing days on eBay to pull stuff off there and put it on eBay (anything unsold can just go back on Amazon later!).

Also waiting for £50 from Music Magpie (again, the real crud, unbelievably, and stuff where they offered me more than the lowest priced item on Amazon marketplace!), and £16.00 for the mobile phone graveyard...

Made an extra £400 in January from singing teaching, and will make the same in February...

    Phew...

Aims for the rest of February:

Remove remaining CDs/DVDs from Amazon listings, and list on eBay
Get one more regular singing pupil
Clean out the bottom of the wardrobe...
    Stage one - declutter
Stage two - sell the clutter
Stage three - turn the money into more money
Stage four - pat self on back
