Saucy - sorry to hear you are suffering, hugs, still looking frward to seeing your notebooks though :)

M - woohoo about the Dummy, I think it will be a fab investment!

Munchki - fab news about another interview, and rejoining the commitments board.....still fingers crossed for Dundee

    Sheloveshim...wow at your £200 win

Wayne, think you have forgotten your original idea to sell t-shirts cheap and throw in transfer paper to add value/differentiate. If I was having a party and wanted t-shirts for my mates (say 10) I would spend £30-40 or £3-4 each but def. not close to £100, or £9.99 each!!! Need to think about your market/customer for pricing, and research.

And it was fab to see MMTWGR back as well!!

Mimms - well done for having the courage to phone, and it wasn't a 'no'!

I have been lurking for a few days trying to find away to get back on track because I am not doing well so far, not even reached anywhere near 3 figures! AAARG!

I am loving writing my blog (thanks to this site!!) and I have been thinking about my childrens book and doing some research/reading for that but also had a thought about a variation on Joeys idea for me re the photgraphy/camera tutorials. So I am thinking about starting a blog about using cameras and getting the best from it etc etc and linking to an Amazon Associates A-Store..... so would list any gadgets and books, cameras etc in the shop.....does that sound like something that might generate a little income (I know it won't make me a fortune lol!) Also thought if it is popular it might give me the confidence to start the one-2-one tutorials... Does it sound like a complete waste of time? I (in term time) have 2 hours a day and figure I can spend a little time writing my blogs and writing for my childrens story...if I have a block on one I can look at another......

I know this is probably not the right way of going about it, but would it or is it possible to maybe write ebooks and then sell them through your blog. sorry still getting my head around making a blog actually earn money besides just affiliate banners.

Thanks Munchki, that is probably a really good idea but I have no understanding about e-books lol So if someone could educate me/point me in the right direction then maybe I could give it ago!

I still need to think of a way of using my website (just a holding page for my PR/Marketing at mo, which I'm not doing and don't feel inspred to do as don't see how I can make it fit in around kids/school etc).. The url is 'myname'.co.uk (and .com!) so any suggestions for that would be really welcome!

Basically write little booklets and then sell the information for what you think is reasonable

As for your website, looked a few weeks ago, am happy to help you with it a bit if you would like. I can see the potential of what you do and working it around your children, but would take a bit of planning etc but can be done.

If you are going to do ebooks I would suggest putting them in pdf format so that they cant be changed and add some affiliates links in or links to your website so that they can come back later and purchase more books or other products.

I use openoffice from openoffice.org they have a wp called writer and you can save as pdf from there (its like microsoft office but free!)
    Sell £1000 in 2016 - £12.48/£1000
    Earn £2016 in 2016 - £0.00/£1000

If I was to buy this for my children as something for them to have a go at I would want to pay a lot less and also would prob not worry if the t-shirt wasn't high quality.
I could prob buy a reasonable white t-shirt and a whole pack of transfer paper for under 9.99.
You can get kids t-shirts here for between £1.19 and £2.50 and their transfer paper works out at max 59p per sheet. If you are selling with white T-shirt then don't need more expensive print on any colour paper.
I would happily pay for a reasonable t-shirt and transfer paper if it was between £3.50 - £4.50 plus p&p but would prob not pay much more for my kids to experiment.
Not sure this is what you want to hear.
I think the idea is to give people something they can't source cheaper ie because they would have to buy a full pack of paper or an expensive t-shirt. You can offer it cheaper because you buy in bulk and then split the packs of transfer paper so people only get what they need for one t- shirt.

Afternoon everyone. I think the blog about our progress is a fab idea. I will help in anyway I can with it.

My priorities have slightly changed. We've confirmed our wedding date this afternoon and booked the venue, so all monies made will be paying for that little beauty next year. I'm so excited but it's given me something to focus on.

Sold two small things on ebay this lunch time.

Update on the scotland interview. The company was using multiple agencys but not communicating well with each of them. The company in fact advised the agency the wrong dates of holiday etc. Anyway long story short, they loved my CV and under diff circumstances would have interviewed me if they had not just offered the job to someone else when everyone thought the woman was on holiday!! Oh well, it was obviously not meant to be. so as I seem to say a lot, onwards and upwards!!
