Thanks Glis that's good advice- I have a friend that does singing/music lessons from home and they always overun.
Wayne- if you are concentrating on hen/stag nights why not look for cheaper quality tshirts as people won't keep them afterwards. Use the quality ones for tshirts that will be reworn.0 -
I've been thinking about your t-shirts Wayne! Have you thought about putting some of your tshirts into job lots of 8-10 and marketting them as hen night/stag night t-shirts? If you can get coloured ones, pink for the hen nights might go down well. Then sell single ones as well just for generic use?
Yeah that is a possibility, it could be worth doing.:beer:2016 Money challenge - £2900 -
Ok, I have a HUGE pile of stuff to eBay. I think it may take me the full 2 days to upload all the information and thats if I write up the stuff before hand.. Got a few biggish named items so hopefully make a wee bit on that.
I have some well battered shoes, hmmmm.
Least I can make the starting bid higher
Also noticed I have an abundance of barley used Avon stuff, wonder if it would be worth just chucking it all in a box and listing as a job lot or 'lucky box' (no stinky socks in sight - honest!)0 -
Wayne I really think you need to do some market research as I don't want to lead you up a blind alley with my original idea.
Can you not get cheaper paper? tesco do 7 sheets for about 4.50 so 49 from them would be 31.50 and thats not even wholesale/ bulk buying.
It was an idea alongside your slogans idea etc but if in order to price it to sell you would not be making the profit margin you would be happy with then it probably isn't a goer for you.
If you got the stuff for 2.40 and sold for 6.00 thats 150%profit which is quite a lot. would you not be happy to reduce that margin a bit to make it more saleable and look at finding cheaper supplies too.
If you could get the supplies for 2.00 and sell for 4.00 thats 100% profit (or 4.50 to account for some fees) and more attractive price for parents like me. Adult ones I am sure could cost more as they are bigger and also may be doing something more serious/long lasting with but still you need to make it more attractive than just buying your own stuff to do it.
Don't want to rain on your parade but now is the time to hear this rather than when you've sunk lots into it.
Others may feel differently to me and thats why you should do some market research.
Maybe a small survey on survey monkey?

Thanks for info, whats the survey thing just make the questions up yourself then?
The printing transfer paper is interesting call as i thought £35 was good, where as at £31 i could get an adult tshirt and paper for £2 meaning has you say if i charged £4 + p&p id make 100% profit.
The only thing ive ordered so far is 50 plastic bags at £3.15 so ive not made any commitments anywhere yet. The survey thing is something i want to do as the more feedback the better, but if i could get them retailed for £4-£4.50 max it could stand me in better chance to sell them and still make profit!. Thanks for advice!:beer:2016 Money challenge - £2900 -

Wayne that paper was not suitable for dark but if that is standard retail from tesco there must be ways of getting it cheaper.
I didn't go as far as checking if they do dark.
Not sure exactly how survey monkey works but you can do it for free for upto 100 respondents.

I would definitely sell the Avon, do you mean you've actually used it? I've got something on atm that I thought would only get 99p and it's up to £3.70 with a day to go, mind you it's unopened. My stinky shoes have had no bids yet so assuming will either not sell or go for 99p lol!
Most of its unused. I think a couple of bottles of moisturiser I've used a couple of squirts from. Got that dermabrasion thing but dont like it so a weeny bits out of that.0 -

Was it a large tescos, i will take a look in as one near us is small, however we have a tesco express near by too.
If they do them for dark material too that will be good as it could be a decent saving and i may be able to get a t shirt out for £2.
Will look into the survey then post it on here.:beer:2016 Money challenge - £2900 -
