Hi millwallpaul, I bet you are so annoyed at Loancheck and its representatives on here. I am so sorry it turned out this way for you. I wish you luck with your Lloyds complaint.0

The Legal Complaints Service will definately not take my case on as it is time barred. I wrote another letter stating about only recently finding out that I could use them for some redress against Watsons and that I have had contact with him after the date they are holding me time bared from, but no joy.
I am going to complain to the Legal Services Ombudsman, who they have directed me to if I was not happy with their decision. Hopefully they may look at my reasons a bit more favourably, as we are only talking about 10 days outside of the 6 months time bared. Fingers crossed.
One good thing is that Watsons have confirmed that my case is closed with them with no money owed, so at least it closes that chapter of this ongoing saga. Here praying that Lloyds insurance now pay up.
Sorry this is not working out for you Millwallpaul. Fingers crossed with Lloyds.:mad:0 -
Watsons Solicitors Insurance Company who were querying having to pay the compensation have now agreed to pay. I got fed up with them and their attitude so e mailed them told them what I thought about their unprofessional attitude and also about their complaints procedure. Anyway within 2 hours they had telephoned my Business Partner (Who I am helping claim) and said they would send a cheque straight away.:mad:0

Hey everyone:)
My loancheck case was taken up by Watson's solicitors, who I have not heard from since July 2009, despite regular telephone calls and promises of call backs, letters, recorded delivery letter etc.
I have managed to speak to someone today who stated that the loancheck side of the solicitors had gone into liquidation, and that Andrew Watson was in the process of writing to all the people held on file to tell them that their cases would not be moving forward.
I am fuming - after signing all the paperwork and being told that I could end up with some money back from Direct Financial Services for a car loan with PPI which was not necessary as at the time, both myself and my (now ex) husband were both self employed, I really do not know what else to do.
Suggestions anyone? I am feeling so sick about it all, as the time for reclaiming PPI has gone through no fault of my own0 -

Hi There
Sorry to hear about all this. Firstly you could contact the Solicitors Regulation Complaint Department and get them to look into this for Regulatory issues. If they have gone into Liquidation then they should not be trying to get any costs from you so you should be released from the Contract.
Watsons Insurers stated to us that they were fed up with all the compensation payments they were having to pay out and would not be insuring them next year, so they are going to have huge problems getting Professional Indemnity Insurance as the premiums would have sky rocketed.
I am not sure if you are covered under FOS for the Car Loan and you may have to go through the FSA I am sure somebody will come on to advise you on that.
I hope you get this sorted soon.:mad:0 -
Hi everyone,
First time poster! Does this mean that Watsons themselves have gone bust? I have been trying to get information from them for months and the phone isn't being answered and e-mails are being ignored. My case isn't through loancheck0 -

Hi There
Am not sure if it is all of Watsons somebody said it was just the Loancheck side of things. The Solicitors Regulation Authority is looking into complaints for me and lots of others and they have not informed us of such. Hopefully somebody will be able to clarify. If not may I suggest that if you have a case with them and they are not responding to go on the SRA web site and them find the Complaints section. Firstly write to Watsons with an official complaint and give them say 2 weeks to respond.
Saying that I have just tried to look on their web site and it is no longer so you may be right.:mad:0 -
Hi Maxdp
I've been told by a friend who is a solicitor that Watsons can't put part of their practice into liquidation. My friend has checked and Watsons are still trading from the same office in llandudno. Their website is working for me!
I'll let you know if I hear anything else.0 -
Have you tried the email address on the Law Society website. Its different to that of their site one.

Hi AJ. That is strange will try their web site again. No it makes sense what you say re the liquidation.
The front page comes up but you cannot go into the site e.g. under services when I try to get onto litigation or personal injury it is not working. Well it is not working for me.:mad:0
