Loancheck/Watsons Solicitors

Hi All, I've not been able to contact Watsons for a while, either by telephone or e-mail. A friend of a friend is in North Wales on holiday and has been into Llandudno and Watsons are closed. Empty office with no note as to a move elsewhere. Their website is also down for me as well. Does anyone know anything? Cheers0

No, i was not involved when loancheck matters were in play. That was before i joined.
If you seem to think that it is the majority that we lose please provide evidence of this, since i have been with the firm our successes far outweigh the losses. Of course you cannot win every case and sometimes clients do lie **Shock Horror** but yes it does happen. I had a complaint where the client alleged the judge had said that there was wrong doing on my part. I subsequently obtained the judgment and proved it was not true. or the client that said they never signed a credit agreement and werent in the UK at the time ...... at trial the bank applied to admit new evidence, being the signed agreement that purportedly never existed. Was that my fault they lost? i guess you will say so, because we need someone to blame dont we
In the last year, i can recall only three cases from my case load where the client was unsuccessful. And that is against a case load of over 100 files over the period.
Also there are settlements, yes they do happen you know, so they are often unreportable as the client ( and the firm) are bound by confidentiality.
I can recall 12 cases where upon filing notice of acting the oppenent discontinued, that was between January and July this year.
So your information is sadly incorrect and it would be wise to ensure the accuracy of the comments before they are made. Should you try and link me to the loancheck fiasco i will sue without question as i have no involvement in the firm at that time and have never had any involvement with any loan check files. Thank you.0 -
It seems a coincidence that their office has closed and the website is down! From here it would seem that it is the odd case that they win rather than the majority. Does your blog mention the failed cases or the ones you simply let lapse or even the SRA findings as mentioned above? Was it 10 counts found against Mr Watson?
I answered your post whilst i was about to go out earlier, you asked if anyone knew anything as to where the firm had gone, i replied.
i look forward to you now providing me details of the cases i have lost or your post being removed0 -
pt2537,
I was referring to Watsons as a company not you personally. Apologies for any confusion. On the basis my last post was removed and you feel the need to threaten, best leave it now eh? Carry on all your good work - there are lots of people who have benefited from your expertise.0 -

I have only ever had one complaint against me, that complaint was NOT upheld, and the complainant had lied in my view, proven by the obtaining of the judgment transcript. The complainant had said i had been criticised by the Judge in open court, yet the judgment proved this was a lie.
The Ombudsman found unanimously in my favour on every point, not because it was a cover up, but because the facts were there for all to see, the emails were undeniable yet the person sought to tarnish my reputation with lies, this is why i am over protective, i have no problem with the truth being told but i hate lies being told about me without foundation
Other than that i am unaware of anyone with any issues with me, and if they have then they ought to as a matter of courtesy raise them with me surely? if a client is unhappy i cannot do anything about it if they dont tell me?0 -
A couple have been sentenced for conning almost two million pounds from people, promising them they couldwrite off their debts with banks and credit card companies by finding loopholesin their loan agreements.

Not suggesting anything.
I found the write up interesting though, talk of loopholes, encouraging the debtor to avoid liabilities due under a contract, inducing people to accept the services offered with reports of "wins" against creditors. Just rang a bell.
