Don't know if this has any effect on the Claims that are already with solicitors from Loancheck etc but similar to Cartel in a way and according to BBC site over the MOJ investigation into Cartel they have said the following over the complaints with solicitors....

    Solicitors investigated
After an initial assessment by Cartel Client Review, eligible claims are passed to a firm of solicitors.
Legal experts at Consumer Credit Litigation Solicitors (CCLS) review the paper work for each case to decide if customers have a valid claim.
But a paralegal who was formerly employed at CCLS, has told the BBC that the vast majority of customers he dealt with had no claim.
Colin Power said he reviewed potential mortgage claims, which were colour-coded according to their likely success:
"With a green case, there would be no success whatsoever - that's it, there is no claim that can be made against the lender. I would say that around about 99.9% of the files I dealt with were what were classed as green files."
Cartel Client Review disputes Mr Power's account and said he is not independent as he now works for a competitor.
The firm also said it is the only company across the UK that actively can do this work with a legal firm and that it has got very positive results.

Although not saying that CARTEL and LOANCHECK are alike where cartel take an up front fee though and Loancheck do not BUT did Cartel also take a fee from the solicitor as Loancheck did? I wonder how theirs worked. Did they have investors into it?

Blimey, although not relevent to Loancheck/Watsons but just been reading more about Cartel and there is a few comments on this from staff etc

    http://www.introducertoday.co.uk/News/Story/?storyid=2620&title=Cartel_denials_of_MOJ_investigation_continue&type=news_features

It says that it had to use its own staff/shareholders etc to post the success stories. If this is true, how sad is that.

Someone posted on another thread this and it does sound familiar though and that is

    quoted from scam.co

i am getting sick to death of this company but their time is coming to an end, the only problem with that is they will fold and no chance of refund. Thats why they are delaying the process to tell you that you dont have a claim !!!
So what has to be proved is that cartel have delayed the processing of claims, this is how they get away with not paying out a refund as their T,Cs state IF YOU CANCEL YOU GET NO REFUND, BUT IF THEY DECIDE THEIR IS NO CLAIM THEN YOU WILL GET A REFUND.

(((((JUST SOUNDS LIKE THE SOLICITORS WITH LOANCHECK, IF THE CLIENT CANCELS THEY GET SOLICITORS CHARGES, IF THE SOLICITOR SAYS THERE IS NO CLAIM ???????))))))))

    quoted from scam.co

So we can see what they are doing !!! they will never say there is no calim so they dont have to refund you. your claim will always be in the process of being processed!!!!!!!So we have to prove what is an exceptional time for them to process a claim, i think we can a agree that over 12 months is unexceptable . When are Cartel going to admit to clients there is no chance of a claim ??? they wont your calim will just go round and round and round again untill they get shut down. even CCLS told me they cant find a reason for a claim but cartel wont admit it ???

DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR HERE?????? HOW MANY POSTERS ON HERE AND THE OTHER THREAD WERE SAYING ABOUT CHARGES IF THEY PULL OUT. HOW MANY WERE SAYING NOT TO PULL OUT???

That is very sad. I really hope they get to the bottom of this and pave the way to get all these Claims companies sorted.
