Vodaphone messing me about
Comments

The adjustments or any extra charges on final bill are based on usage made up to the cancellation date. In my case I had a credit of £0.75 on ending a vodafone contract (but that was due to a rule change in EU).
Last week, a relative got his o2 final bill through post and has a credit of £1.14.
Its really down to customers to get the online billing turned off when they end a contract - its easy enough to do when you are in the contract. Otherwise just phone up and ask for a paper copy although I think they will probably send one out (even if you were registered for online billing).0 -
They soon email back when I send them an email marked:
5 DAYS BEFORE CANCELLING DD!
They are trying to charge me for the cancellation date as well as 1-4 feb - email sent back.I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0 -

There was NO usage 1 - 4 Feb I made sure of that.I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0 -
You turn if off when you are still in the contract (i.e. before the 5th in your case).
If it was me, I would have checked and got a glimpse of what usage there was up to 4th.
On 5th, they would do the disconnection.0 -

So what are you worried about?
One days cost on 5th which you feel you are going to get billed for? How much is that if you divide the tariff by 30 to get approximate figure?
You don't want to do the simple thing which is to phone them because its going to cost you but you do want them to chase around trying to confirm something via email?0 -

Its not much - but answer me this - If I underpaid would they say - oh dont worry its not much?I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0 -

No, they would send you a correction bill to confirm before taking a direct debit (or crediting back any overpayment) ... oops you cant do that because of online billing.
From my past experience with vodafone, they do send out final bills to show exact adjustments made but I do not know what they do if customer was signed up to online billing. Easy way to find out is to phone and spend a few pence talking to someone.0 -
This guy is taking money saving to the limit, bet he even uses his tea bags twice0

Its not about the cost - its the principle. If they overcharge everyone 1 day thats a lot of money. I will put the money in the Sally Army Pot when I am next in Town.I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0
