I have very dry sensitive, flaky skin and have tried various skin products, i never stick to the same creams I am yet to find a suitable one for my dry skin.
Can anyone recommend a good moisturiser for my dry skin please?
    Many thanks

I recommend this for sensitive skin:

I use (really expensive) faith in nature Neem etc shampoo, £4.99 a bottle, because i have really oily hair, but i only want to wash it once a week: this is the only one i've found that rips the oil out without making it go all oily for the last 2 or 3 days: it's almost as good as new on day 6, so i only have to wash my hair once a week, so it lasts forever, so ultimately it's cheap. (If i wash it every day, it's disgustingly oily by 2pm: i had to train it.)

Just bought this for my HO who has exactly the same problem! I've been looking for something similar for ages, as nothing seems to work for more than a couple of days (cheap or expensive alike).

I like clinique stuff but swapped my face wash for sainsburys fragrance free face wash for 89p, i still use the clinique toner as its fab and a bottle will easily last me over a year so i get hubby to buy me one every xmas, and i've just started using aldi's Lacura eye gel and the Lacura multi-intensive serum, both seem good so far especailly as i have oily skin which is getting worse now im pregnant and it seems to be keeping my spots at bay too. I love vaseline for my lips and usually steal my sons baby lotion for a body moisturiser or add a couple of drops of baby oil to my bath if my skin gets dry.

After reading (on MSE) about a website selling perfume oils I did some research, and bought two exquisite perfumes, two small (tiny) bottles.
They cost £3.15 for 3 ml (with a dipstick) and £2.65 for 1ml (roll-on). The quantities look small, but this perfume oils are extremely concentrated and last a long time.
I applied the roll on to my wrists and but it was too powerful (my OH kept saying it would make a good room spray as the whole room smelt great...). I washed my wrists three time with soaps and it's still there!

El Rehab is one of the main brands, I would recommend it.
    I boutght it from here:

Al Haramain is also a very good brand, slightly more expensive I think.

Arabian perfume oils are very different from western perfumes but they are complex and intriguing. Oh, and cheap (if you compare usage rather than quantity).

Ive just discovered Arabian perfumed oils while living in malaysia. They are so different from anything Ive tried before. They are so much stronger. I got a freebie of the musk oil and it is beautiful but dosnt smell like the musk we have in UK. Smell lasts for ever. First time I used it I put on to much thinking ittle deop would never last. Big mistake.lol

Although I am 50 ish I still get break outs of acne on my chin.
Have any of you lovely people any suggestions what products might be suitable.
I also use the superdrug balm and it's great.
I'd also recommend the Tesco version of cleanse and polish.

I used to work as a team leader on the customer service experts department of Guthy Renker who are responsible for Sheer Cover, Winsor Pilates, Principle Secrets and many other big celeb endorsed American brands via shopping channels. We sold ProActiv which was endorsed by Jessica Simpson, Serena Williams and Britney Spears, who all had terrible skin including breakouts, Acne, etc. Through our training we learnt that the ProActiv cleanser contained Salycilic Acid - available without prescription and the strongest alternative for Acne to Benzoyl Peroxide (excuse spelling) normally what the doctor prescribes in that horrid brown face wash.

Anyways, ProActiv is a complete system which costs a bomb (£40 quid for a '2 month' supply), but there are LOADS of alternatives on the high street which cost next to nothing, you just need to look at the ingredients list for Salycilic Acid. Boots Expert Anti Blemish Cleansing Foam for example at less than £3 includes Willow Bark which is a rich, natural source of Salycilic Acid.

ProActiv works - I have honestly tried it AND seen the results on both myself and my colleagues. So, there's no reason why similar CHEAPER products wont work which contain the exact same ingredients.

This is a common Money Saving technique, works in tablets like pain killers, antihistamines, beauty formula, perfume - look at the ingredients - 9/10 times you will find the exact same ingredients, without the big brand name, for a fraction of the cost.

Good luck and I really hope that helps. Having teen breakouts as an adult isn't much fun is it? :(

Apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere - but Boots Skin Expert range is on offer at two for £4.00 at the moment. As their daily moisturiser sells at £4.49 (which for 100ml is good value anyway), it makes their offer a real bargain:) They've also got the same offer on their Vitamin E range. (plus if you spend over a fiver, you get the £5.00 off No.7/Ruby & Millie and half-price sunglasses voucher).
  • hi girls, just been to lidl and got a 400ml jar of cien cocoa body butter for £2.99.it smells gorgeous and is very moisturising and dries quickly too.:j
