Today I've treated another 4 fence panels. Just two left now, behind the shed. When I decide it's time, the neighbour's going to help me lift them out so I can paint them in the open and just slot them back in. I've had enough for today though.
I'm really chuffed with the progress thus far. I'm not exactly a workaholic, but I've kept chipping away and this is where I'm at:

I have to say I'm finding this really quite rewarding. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

Same here! Most of the things I grow I end up with too much. On the plus side, I really enjoy dropping round a friend's house with a bag of runner beans, tomatoes or whatever else. It's always appreciated. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
More radishes:
I've never yet grown a radish that made it to the plate. If I could grow them (the hot peppery ones) the size of apples, I'd be in heaven. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

MrBe - Fantastic progress - loving all the photos and yes it is very rewarding isn't it and also very addictive. I'm really envious of your tomatoes, I've only got loads of flowers but I know it will be worth the wait like everything else that we grow our own, the taste and satisfaction is worth it.;)"WASTE NOT, WANT NOT!"GC for OH, myself, DD18 & DD16 includes Toiletries, cleaning stuff & Food.

I'm really envious of your tomatoes,
Well, don't be too envious just yet. Look at this foul monstrosity:
It's a Purple Ukraine*, and I'm sorely tempted to remove it. Not sure I want the plant to put its energy into that!
*Although looking at it again, it might be a mislabelled Amish Paste. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Found this damselfly trying to get out of the greenhouse - I gave it a hand before the sarracenia had it for lunch. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

And I'm going on holiday from Thursday to Sunday 11th, so I've done my best to protect the competition-kale whilst I'm gone:
Netting, should be fine enough to stop cabbage white:

Is that a massive patch of rhubarb I spotted in one of your photos?, if so I need to move mine, it's only 3 years old an a 1/4 of that size.0

Yes, just up from the compost bin on the right. Mrbadexample snr cut me a crown (Timperley Early) about...ooo...3-4 years ago now I think.
I brought the crown back from Kent in a plastic bag, and left it lying around for a fortnight before I got chance to plant it. When I eventually got round to retrieving it, it was rotting and mouldy. I cut away the rotten bits, washed off the mould and stuck it in the ground. It hasn't looked back.
I force it for the first crop early in the year, and then just let it get on with it. If it's very lucky it'll get a bit of feed sometime over the winter.
I don't take an enormous harvest from it, so probably don't deplete its reserves too much.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0
