Have just skimmed through this entire thread and am 'well impressed' and a little bit jealous of your luverley new shed.

    Enjoy.

Only had to wait a year for it.

    Wow!! Your garden looks fab!

I'm not sure about that, but it is slowly improving. It's also a bit of a blank canvas, so I can do what I want with it. It'll get there. :)

hI mrbad your garden looks great loads of scope for plenty of work:jthat looks a massive shed just painted mine new shed as I didnt want it turning out like the old one. Having electricity put in the shed this week so its going to be all nice and cosy:cool:

What kind of greenhouse is yours it looks like mine which is an elite but when it rains it comes in at all four conrners, but they are going to do something about it at some stage.

    keep up the good work.

Shed's 10' x 8': as big as I could get on the slabbed base. :)

The greenhouse is from Norfolk Greenhouses (Ultimate 6' x 6'). I could really do with a bigger one. :D Sorry to hear they've not sorted yours out yet. :(

My Mantis tiller should now be in working order (thanks Adrian!) but I haven't got it back yet. Then I shall see what quantity of masonry lurks under the lawn. :wall:

So - what are you planning to do with that grassy area?

Just thinking that I would put some readymade raised beds there and grow climbing food plants (suitable fruit trees??) along the fencing perhaps..

I'm planning to make more raised beds on the right side. Don't know about the other side yet - I'll have to see how much space I need. :D

Well, I still haven't mown my lawns. :o

I did repot my cucmbers (29 plants! Hope everyone I know likes cucumbers!) I also repotted my runner beans - think they'll need to be put out soon.

Tomato plants are coming along nicely now. I'll wait 3-4 weeks & then look at repotting them into bigger pots again.

I'm waiting for the brocolli & sprouts to strengthen up. Will plant them out next bank holiday methinks (depending on their size).

I prepared some hanging baskets this weekend to encourage bees. Anyone else noticed how massive they are this year? However, work was sporadic, we even had sleet & hail!
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

I thought this was a joke :rotfl:I was waitin for the punchline!!

Mr B ur garden is looking fab,,love the shed, suitably jealous.

I too have been potting on my various seedlings,,and sown some more,,,my windowsills are fit to burst.
I have had some fabulous salad leaves outside ,,sown under my old washing machine door glass thingy and rhubarb,,,the goosegogs are getting nice and fat and looks like there are loads of them,,,last yrs first yr there was one!! yes one gooseberry ,this yrs are looking brill.

My garlic i planted in feb came up and has now died back,,,hmmm no flower nothing just a green shoot thing that got fairly big,,,any ideas? I will when i get time dig one and have alook see what has happened,,i am pretty sure they were meant to last longer and do something spectacular.

Everything else looking fab,,My broccoli seeds i put in one pot in march and stuck a pane of glass them, outside,,,they are huge seedlings now and they all need potting on ,,one or 2 nibbles from summin but on the whole very healthy looking. Not sure what i am going to do with them now,,,depends on when i have to harvest them,,may have to find a spot in the ground for them. I have even managed to grow carrots,,not sure what they are like underground or in the pots. They are in various stages,,ones in pots huge leafy green bits above ground...ones in ground tiny seedling and another pot of tiny seedlings.
I could go on and on about how excited i am about the different things i have up and growing its soooo EXCITING :-) i realise only exciting to me hahaha

Had some lovely things come up from last year,,bought alstromeria from gardeners world show at birmingham and one alium both have reappeared,,the allium is shooting up and the alstromeria poking thru..i am so thrilled as they are lovely plants.
    happy gardening
