Barclays have just offered to settle for £470 - the amount of my courtt claim. They haven't added on the extra £5 or so interest that has accrued since I filed, but I don't reckon it's worth holding out over so little, so have accepted. How long does the whole process take from requesting charges from the bank to initial offer / full settlement by the bank? Please include worst case scenario which includes going to small claims court to put your case against their defence
Many Thanks

Write to the credit card company with your name, address at the time and your date of birth and enclose the £10 with the letter asking for all data held on you regarding your charges.0 -

how long is a piece of string, each bank is different you would need to read the thread relating to the bank you are claiming from for an approximate answer to this question.0 -
Edinburghlass...
Many thanks for that. It is a great relief, I have calculated tonight that I would have lost £415.00 if I had only gone for 5 years, plus the Scottish Claim Website doesn't look as user friendly as the Moneyclaim one..
So fingers crossed and onwards!
Cheers.

Today 4/1/07 I recieved a letter from them telling me they had paid £750 into my account despite the fact I am asking for £2700. I rang Lloyds and said they had no right to pay into my account without my acknowledgement and I was told they could legally do that if they wished.
With Lloyds paying in this money to my account do I now stand any chance of winning????
If anyone has dealt with Lloyds would love to hear from you
You can write to Lloyds and say you accept this as partial payment but will be continuing with your court action.0 -
I'm after some help if possible. This has all started since early September. I began the process of trying to reclaim (on behalf of my wife) the bank charges that had mounted up over a 5 year period. Anyway, I shall cut to the chase. I have written to the bank (lloyds) and they sent me statements, I then wrote to them again asking for it back, there reply was to basically go and whistle, so i took it to the next stage and filled in the online court part, and have since filled in the allocation questionaire, this has all been sent back within the due period. I noticed that on the letter sent from the court it states that:
"The claimant should lodge a copy of the bundle to the court by 8th january 2007 and upon lodging of the trial bundle the court will consider the listing of the matter"
could anyone please tell me what this means, I have sent the questionaire and statement along with bank statements to the solicitor acting on behalf of Lloyds, do I have to do the same and send it to the bank? If I do what do I have to send? If I have done everything right what happens next.
Sorry for all the questions but I noticed that alot of people seemed to have had offers but we have had nothing and I really don't want to put my wife in the posistion of attending court.
Many thanks to anyone that can help.
regards

All the relevant info is here. You will need to register with CAG. You need to send this bundle to the courts and a copy to the banks. I think you can also claim expenses...£9.25 an hour!"He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,
He will kill your cat and nail him to the door"

thanks for your reply maniac, but could you tell me what bundle I have to send to the courts and also to the bank, The last person I asked on this site told me just to send a letter to the banks solicitors, I'm worried that i may have messed this all up as I have to have everything done by the 8th January. many thanks again.0
