I think the N1 claim form comes as a pdf (if I remember rightly). If you have software that can edit pdfs (normally Adobe Acrobat, but there are free programs out there), then you can download it and type in your details. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Bank NATWEST
Amount claimed £1127
Amount paid £1127
Just received a letter from Natwest today saying they will repay all of the £1127 that I claimed in bank charges. This was after only threatening to take them to small claims last week - Thought Natwest was going to be tough but not so....horray!!!:0 -

When it comes to file a court claim, you must know the exact amount you are claiming for and have evidence of this. You need to get your list of charges from the bank and then work it out. If you have sent the DPA request and the time has expired you should be pursuing this in order to force them to disclose this information.

P.S. I have thanked people by using the thank you symbol, so i am a little confused how it's not registering?0 -
Halifax - claimed £409, paid £439 after first letter, won't see the money as it is an account with an unauthorised overdraft that I am paying off through CCCS, but it's reduced the balance nicely so no complaints.
Can anyone clarify if I can claim for credit card charges?0 -

The second interest that you have mentioned,Statutory 8% can only be claimed once you file a claim with the courts. This comes under the s.69 the County Courts Act (1984).
So with my first letter reclaiming my charges back I can't claim any interest on the charges unless its actual interest taken from me caused by the overdraft charge?
I thought we could claim the interest (Statutory) on the charges they have taken off me?

You are only entitled to the statutory interest once you've issued a court claim. This interest is nothing to do with reclaiming bank charges. It is the statutory interest you can charge on a debt when you make a county court claim. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Hi Everybody,
To date I have claimed around 600.00 back of halifax. Had to do this through the small claims court online. At present I am writing to capital one to claim back
charges of them as well. I didn't send 10.00 for invoices, i just phoned and asked for them, don't know if i was lucky?
I have also helped sister-in-law claim back her charges as well and boy was she a happy bunny. This was all achieved due to the consumer action group and this site.
Have a little faith and claim what you are owed.
Regards

But were we right in including them in the letter with there being templates with the option of adding interest? The most the bank can refund us is without interest if they pay without going to court?0
