What do you think of this one?
Flat G13 Blackfriars Court, 23 Blackfriars Street in the Merchant City, which has 2 bedrooms (normally 1 x double and 1 x twin), bathroom with bath and shower and spacious sitting/dining room with kitchen off. There is plenty of space in the sitting/dining area for a further single bed.
We are located at the east side of Glasgow city centre, very close to public transport and within easy walking distance of the main shopping streets. Marks & Spencer and Tesco Express (0600-2300 daily) on Argyle Street are a 5 minute walk and Aldi Supermarket on High Street even closer.
The normal nightly rate for this flat is £78.10, but for a 7 night stay the weekly rate of £468.65 would apply. This includes all linen including sheets and towels, fully equipped kitchen, electricity and a daily housekeeping service. Internet access by a third party is available in the flat. There are communal laundry machines in the complex.0 -
That's a fab location, you're about a 5 min walk to either Queen Street or Central Station - a bit further from the Bus Station (10 minute walk?) - thinking of you arriving on the Friday night.
You can get just about anywhere from there that you need too.
I would chance the arm and ask them if they could do it for £400 as that's your budget. My guess is they might bring it down to 430?0 -

Please don't take kids to Craig Tara- its awful! I originally come from Ayr and although I havent been for a few years, the accomodation is filthy and its full of young "people" (I use the term loosely) getting drunk, fighting and ummmm getting very friendly with each other.
Weymess bay is much better if you're going for a caravan.0 -
You can use TE*CO vouchers to stay in Youth Hostels, there is one in Glasgow according to the website. Most hostels these days have family rooms and cooking facilities too

If you phone the Youth Hostel, you should get it cheaper. Especiaaly for the dates you have. The flat in the Merchant City sounds lovely and is a fab location. I think you should try and haggle them down, too. There doesn't seem to be anything special on that week in the city, so you should be in a good position on to strike a deal. Good luck.
Some bits of Pollokshields are quite nice, big huge villas, what street was it on?It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0 -

I am really interested in the Merchant City apartment but I can't find a pic of the inside - can anyone else?
address is: Merchant City Apartment G13, 23 Black Friars Street, G1 1BL. You would think with that address I could find pictures but I can't.
If I see the pics and I like it I am going to ask if they would give me a deal - how much do you think I should offer? They have said £468.65 for the 5 of us for 7 nights - and also, how should I word it?0
